Hello from Jake and me

Jake is an 8 year old rescue cat that we have had for 2 years. I nicknamed him "my hunky-chunky pudding" when we first got him as he was so big. Put it this wasy, you wouldn't pick him up twice!

Unfortunately he occasionaly decides that I shoud be a target for an attack, and out of the blue just jumps at me with teeth and claws out. 99.9% of the time he is a soft as a cushion, but you never know when he decides to be the 0.1% hard man. Any one got any suggestions, please?
