That would send alarm bells ringing straight away for me so i wouldn't have handed her back, especially when i had doubts that she wouldn't be getting spayed either.

Well, I'll send good for the mama cat and the kittens! Im dissapointed that she got the mama cat back, isn't she the one who had the cat originally and said that her father was going to kill the kittens???

i understand where everyone is coming from with their opinions, the cat was hers, not mine. what i did was to help the kittens, in taking her i mean. she was supposed to take the cat back to her apartment but has since walked away from her lease on it. this cat was attacking all the other animals in the house for no reason. she said she was going to probably take her to a shelter seems how its cold and snowy here. i really dont need everyone harpin on me because of this cat. i was happy to see her go, i know that sounds cruel, but this cat wasnt using a litter box, even if it was 100% clean, she was tearin everything apart in my room, she was attacking her own kids for pete's sake. the cat was her's, she was only supposed to be here until the kittens were old enough, and she said here for close to 7 months, without any financial help from her owner.

Kristi, no one is wanting to beat you up here, just questioning choices maybe, only because we all care so much. Everyone is just very concerned about the welfare of the cats. They are the ones in a precarious situation here. Truth be told, I was hoping to get my hands on the momma b/c I had a feeling her future would be bleak.

Lets just concentrate on what we can do for the remaining kids in their best interests, okay?

Any updates on the kittens or the mama-cat??? Sounds like mama cat has some serious issues - perhaps an undetected infection or perhaps some severe emotional trauma, so if she goes to the shelter, hopefully she will be PTS in a humane manner.
Would your local vet consider a PTS for the cat at a reduced rate?? Maybe someone or some people here could consider sending a small donation to the vet in that regard - there are so many here that are concerned for those kitties and PTS at the vets is so much more humane than the shelter, and if we REALLY want to help.....
And, BLESS YOUR CARING HEART - through all your posting, not one whine about your own personal situation - I'm sure that that's just as dismal as the kitties. You are a REAL TROOPER!!!

Since I first read this post, I've been concerned about you, not the cats. Where are you going to live? Are you o.k.? What are your plans? sending
to you.

No Glitch. She's never contacted me back. I had arranged transportation, given my phone information, and she told me she could meet on Sunday, I've emailed her quite a few times and she's not responded.

so sorry i havent been on. i havent been home since friday before i left for work because of all the snow we got. i stayed at my friends house, and she has no computer or anything. and i had no transportation to go anywhere. today is the first ive been home all weekend.
i especially want to appologize to kelicat.
and as of right now, i dont have any place to live. i did find a place that allows cats and inside dogs, but id need a roommate to afford it, and i cant even seem to find that.
i did find out that the mom cat went to a shelter, im not sure which one though. the cats i have left, are the four from the liter that are just about 5 months old i think. the two older sisters did find a home together about a month or two ago.

Sending wishes, prayers and vibes that you and the kitties get the miracle that you need and deserve, and are able to get that apartment for yourselves . Have you tried your local ministerial association or at least your United Methodist Church or the Salvation Army? There are so many hearts called to help people in times of need; those are good places to hook up with them. You are already doing the best that you can, you work, you're not selling drugs to make exta money, etc. - this is exactly the type of situation where it takes a community to help out

Are the remaining kittens with you?

yes the kittens are with me, but no matter where i end up, i know they will not be able to come with me. i havent tried any of those places or gone anywhere for help because i know there are other people out there, who have kids and what not, that need it more than i do

Hooray for you - you did it
Now, sending those rehoming prayers and vibes out for YOU!!! I appreciate that you don't want to ask for help, but who knows but they might know of some poor lady who needs a roommate like you - one with a job who loves cats and has courage

Im sorry you're missing them so! Its hard to give them up after having them for so long! I think the remaining cats can appreciate what you're doing for them too. I cant imagine how lonesome you must be for your kittens though... You did a wonderful job taking care of them! Im glad you have a place to live too!
