So Some of you probably remember how happy I was that I got my internship placement. My interview was with the clinic owner. Well today I got a call from their office manager. Now she is say they may not be able to offer me an internship because of some insurance company rules. Here's my question how do people get their training hours to work with clients if you have those hours? I'm super upset & glad I've only got an hour left at work. This has been so difficult. I have made so many calls and gone through so much. It just dosen's seem to me that anyone else has had this problem. Right now I just want to pull my hair out!!

I can only imagine how your feeling it is so frustrateing looking for your MANDITORY hours. When I was in School noplace would take you unless you were fluent in both french and english (It was in Ottawa). Some of the people in my course had to move home to take their placement hours because they couldn't speek french.
I had 5 interviews for different placements, and turned down for several based on this or that, before I got on with one of the national museums.
All I can say is be persistant and try to see yourself... you may not think you have any other qualities that they might be looking for but go ahead and toot your own horn, tell them your punctual, you don't mind working after hours, you don't mind traveling.... anything that may put you a step above the others they may also be looking at.
Being turned down for insurance purposes may be a real excuse but don't let it sway your determination... somthing will come eventually.

Some of my frustration comes from the lack of help I'm receiving from our department head. Basicly we are on our own. We were provided with a list, and this place was one of the names on the list. So how the heck am I supposed to find a placement on my own, when the ones on the list don't even work out?
