My little six-month-old, Olive, is scheduled for her spay tomorrow and I am pretty sure she is in heat. I called the vet and they said they can still do it, it will just cost $10 more. I asked if there were any more risks due to the increased blood flow to the area and they were still confident that we could go ahead with the spay. Sometimes I don't fully trust my local vet. So, I'm just curious if anyone else has had a spay done while their cat was in heat? Or would you just wait it out? (btw, a cat in heat is sure fun to live with. WOW! She's making some funny noises...at ALL hours of the day!!!
)
I just don't want to go ahead with it if it is too risky.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts/opinions!!!
