Is it? According to that calculation Pro Plan Chicken & Rice is 4.5% carbs. The chart on the jmpeerson site (I think you are familar with it) claims 15%. That's a big difference.

Pro Plan Chk & Rice : protein 11%, fat 2, fiber 1.5 moisture 78, ash 2.7

Oh!! The web site in the OP is for dry food calculation!!

Never mind...

Edit: No, I just checked and they are using the same formula for both wet and dry. Look at their sample calculations.

OK. They are incorrectly using the same calculation for both wet and dry. They % carbs for canned on their sample caculations page are wrong.

The calculator should be used for *dry* only.

That calculator is inaccurate. I put in Eukanuba Hairball info and it says 20% carbs. The Eukanuba and Jmpeerson site both say 25% carbs. That could have to do with using guaranteed analysis instead of the as fed. You must use as fed to get accurate carb info.

it is accurate for dry in a guarenteed which is all most understand..
