Question of the Day - March 3rd!

Thread Starter
March already

Here's Rigel's Monday question!

For example, you're a student, or stay at home mom, or a owner of your own business or a professional that works by your own and NASA is interested in how this kind of person would be in a new space program that is traveling to MARS… you was choosen by this program ……the question is…¿would you take the challenge? (of course the NASA will take the labour to prepare to you and take care of your home or business while you were gone)….Would you? Or deny this opportunity????...…

I honestly don't think I would accept, I have no desire to travel to space, plus I wouldn't want to be away from my family that long

I would like to but I think responsiblities here would win and I would stay on earth.

well...I might..I don't know...
thats a hard question to answer..as long as I know Jim would look after my cats...
hmm yes...especially if I could take my camera...

I am terrified just to fly in a plane, no way could you get me on a spaceship!

I would say no thank you...I wouldn't want to be gone for that long either

I think I would accept as it's a once in a lifetime opportunity. If I had the blessing of my fiance and I was sure he'd take care of Harry then I'd go.

Ditto! There's no way I could take my entire fur crew with me...not with a horse and a couple of goaties, included with my three kitties, and two dogs! haha...I think I'll keep my feet planted on earth! The occasional plane ride to different states is enough for me!!!

No thank you!!!! I will pass!

I wouldn't take it, purely because I think anyone who does will have to understand that it may be a suicide mission. There are problems such as radiation, not to mention a myriad of things that could go wrong.

I think it's quite possible to do it, but I wouldn't put money on the first one being successful.

I'm on the fence.. but I think I'd go How many months/years would it take
post #16 of 28
That trip is not happening here.
No way! I'd be way too scared!

I would only go if Sibohan could be the first kitty in outer space

Not even remotely interested.

No way no how! I'm chicken!
I don't know if I would realistically accept, but I think it would be fun to go to space!! I know it takes a long time to get to Mars and I'm not sure I'd want to leave my family for that long... but space would be cool!!

As much as I use to love rollar coaster rides I think I would get board of floating in 25% gravity (or whatever it is).

Funny enough, we were watching a documentary on Sunday about a mission to mars. For 40 days to explore Mars, it would have to leave in 2012/2013 I think it was...take 4 months to get there and then 6 months to return home based on the alignment between Earth and Mars.

Mars? Probably not...The Moon? Sure.
