I've tried Nature's Miracle, Resolve, Oxy Clean, and am about to try plain vinegar and Nature's Miracle again and then vinegar and baking soda. My male tom cat is peeing all over to mark. He is not nuetered yet but will be asap. He is 1 yr old and has been doing this for 3 months now, since we moved into our current home. I have to remove this urine smell. It's HORRID! I thought Nature's Miracle was the best! Please help!

Tom cat is pretty strong. I'd confine him to one room that is washable till he is neutered. And it will take a few weeks after being neutered for the smell to die down. He can still get a female pregnant for about 2 months after being neutered - so keep him inside and away from any females not spayed.

Because he's spraying now, you have a 50/50 chance of whether or not he will really stop completely. Any reason he was not neutered at a much younger age?

i would give it a good chance it will stop, its just a guess tho, if you have a female in the house and you make him surgically unattracted to female he wont feel the strong sense to make everything smell like him.

2 c hydrogen peroxide
2 t baking soda
2 drops liquid dish detergent

Mix together and soak the smelly areas and allow to dry slowly. May take more than one application if especially strong. Do not use on non-colorfast materials or fine wood furniture/flooring.

I use Nature's miracle with success. You have to soak up the urine with water and if it has dried wet it and resoak, then soak with NM and let it dry completely. Make sure to block spot from pets. I put a basket around the area. It took about a month before spot dried completely and no smell.

Not sure if it's available in the US (assuming that's where you are), but Bio-Zet laundry powder or liquid works very well. Just mix it up with water in a spray bottle, the enzymes remove all odour.

Excellent product and excellent company!! Their Prove It! Kit is reasonably priced so you can try it and see what you think.

This company generously donates product to benefit Newfoundland Dog rescue and I will always put in a good word for a company that cares about giving back!
