Well I just looked her over and her belly seems somehow smaller lower and more lumpy instead of round and sticking out like it was. Her vulva is also open instead of a slit. I really hope it is soon i'm sick of waiting.

I have read on some sources that cats that are having their second pregnancy show labor signs sooner than ones having their first so maybe that is why Dill has teased you so much. lol

I looked back and I remembered that I have been able to SEE the babies moving for about 10-11 days now. I am so exited to see the babies little faces and for this whole thing to be over with.

Well right now and for the past 3 hours she has been in her birthing box that I made her. Before now she hasn't shown much interest in it. She also seems very aggitated and won't let me pet her stomach when she usually loves me to pet her stomach. She also has pinkish discharge.

Thank you. I hope there will be babies tonight. I wonder what they will look like. Dad could have been a longhaired solid grey cat or a shorthaired orange tabby with white paws. Those are the only cats I've seen around here and I think they live across the street.

Here's a kitten color predictor for you to play around with while you're waiting for those babies! I think it's fun to play with.

Ok no babies but she has been in her birthing box for 11 hours now. Does this mean it will be soon? She will go between laying down to sitting to grooming "that area" to purring loudly. I have seen her leave the box 2 times to use the bathroom.

Sounds like it should be soon. But just like people you can never tell....the kittens will come when they are ready. If you are anything like me I can imagine that you didn't get much sleep last night, always getting up to check on Sophie. I hope it happens soon for you.

Have your cats in labor been extremely vocal??

My Houdini has been nesting (finally!!) but she insists I stay right next to her. If I leave the room she follows me meowing very loudly. I had to move her birthing bed (a large dog crate lined with blankets and towels) from the closet of her room into my office, since I can't sit in her room all the time. I made another birthing bed for her in her closet...a box lined with towels and stuff...since that's the only room she can go to to escape the dog and kids (I have a toddler gate blocking the door...high enough that Houdini can get under it but it keeps everyone else out).

I have only felt the kittens move for about a week now. But she is REALLY vocal!

What does this behavior mean??

Nemo was very focal the day she had the kittens. She followed me around the whole day meowing. She was also VERY affectionate...I couldn't even sit down without her jumping up on me and loving me.

That is exactly how Sophie is acting today. She is no longer laying in her box but she has been following me all around the house meowing and is always in the room with me or my mom. Here are some pictures from today. I also made a video last night of her babies moving which I will put up when it is fully loaded.
Here she was last night in her box

This is her sister Olive

I am definately not trying to worry you but...

When you had mentioned about brown discharge it really caught my attention. I have a torti point Himalayan whom I thought was pregnant (stomach grew, I SWORE I felt kittens, started eating more, nesting, etc).
She started meowing/growling quite a bit and started "nesting" and was very restless and so I thought the kittens were on the way. I noticed some brown discharge (reminded me of chocolate milk) and decided that something was wrong and so I brought her to the emergency vet where she did an X-ray only to reveal NO kittens. She had a condition called Pyometra (an infection of the uterus). The poor girls uterus was FULL of puss! This condition mimics normal pregnancy and is very uncommon in cats. She had an emergency Pyometra spay surgery which saved her life.

She did not develope any milk but did show all the other signs of pregnancy. What made me bring her in was the brown discharge, the constant growling/meowing and the restlessness.

I just thought I would share this experience because even though it is fairly rare it can happen and an early diagnoses can save your cats life. This condition is normally fatal in cats because it isn't caught until it is too late.

She is definatly pregnant I can see her babies moving from across the room. You will see them moving in the video I will post later. Her discharge isn't really brown it's more of a clearish yellowish. Thanks for your concern though.

Best of luck and btw- your kitty is beautiful
