I've looked online for more information and it's pretty limited.

My Genesis is a 10 year old Foldie and judging by what's been listed it seems in her aging years these signs of congenital osteodystrophy are showing up more clearly.

She walks with an arched back and a more stiffened gait. Her tail has never really been anything more than a floofy christmas tree; unlike most cats who curl their tails, I don't really ever remember her tail being expressive.

All the vets I've been to have never mentioned congenital osteodystrophy to me before and with how she is I'd have figured that would have been obvious and something important to mention?

Do any of you have cats with congenital osteodystrophy, and if so what do you do to help them feel more comfortable? What are the main problems you've noticed over time with your cats?

This is the first I've heard of the condition. It does seem quite surprising that if the breed is predisposed to osteodystrophy, and Genesis has been exhibiting signs of it, that none of your vets would have discussed it with you by now.

10 years old is fairly young for a cat, so I'd be concerned about the symptoms appearing now. It seems the best you can do is to find a vet who understands the condition and can actually help Genesis. You may have better luck finding such a vet at a university veterinary school. There may also be emergency/diagnostic vet facilities near you - which are basically animal emergency hospitals with feline specialists on staff.

I hope you can soon find a vet to help Genesis.
