Hi! There is momma cat and three kittens. she has been hissing and growling at them
I think she is trying to get them to leave. I'm attached to this litter and trying to get her and them fixed. Is she pushing them away because she thinks it's time for them to leave or is she just a pissey kitty? (by the way it's not working, they think the barn is theres.... )the kittens are four to five monthes old.

Yes Mom is tired of being mom and she will push the youngsters farther away from her and eventually she will not want them around her. It is good that you are trying to get her spayed, and they are of the age where they can get fixed as well. She has taught them all they need to know and now they have to find their place in the world without her.

her plan is back firing because there staying and i haven't seen here as much. I lifted tails, and there are two boys and a girl. So getting girly fixed if my number one concern. i'm just scared she will hate me after words
dh is starting to warm up to the idea of letting them leave inside I think. I just have to get them tested for felv and fiv because I already have two inside babies. i feel better now that i know she isn't just being mean!

Lilith had to be "forced" to wean her kittens. They were still nursing at 9 weeks old and she did nothing to stop them, although she was getting very skinny. We took her to the vet because we were concerned about how thin she was, and were told that we would have to wean the kittens from her, since she would not!

About a week later, she got the hint and started to swat them if they tried to nurse. However, old habits die hard. Some of the kittens, who are now going on 2 years old, still nuzzle mom's belly once in a while. As soon as Lil realizes what they are doing, they get a smack.:tounge2:

4-5 months! =O Yeah mom is telling em to get the heck out! haha

I hope you can catch them soon any time now the girl could get pregnant or the boys could inpregnant a female.
If you have space for them inside and they can get along with your other pets then go for it! Less outdoor cats to worry about getting hurt. :/

The fixed outdoor cats will "hate" you just as much as any other animal you have altered. Besides it doesn't matter, I'd rather have a cat hold a grudge against me, then being more unwanted kittens into this world!
