Thread Starter
Here's another question from Rigel!!

Do you like quotes?...…do you have some favourite? I mean that always do you have it present for you?...would you tell us please?...

My favorite quote that seems to be a running theme in my life is "that which does not kill you, makes you stronger"
I have a few but will only post 2.

"I've learned that all a person has in life is family and friends. If you lose those, you have nothing, so friends are to be treasured more than anything else in the world."

"Actions lie louder than words."

"Perhaps my cats and I even share the same dream, a world where all kittens are wanted and loved, and where every cat has a safe, warm place to sleep...and to dream."

I LOVE quotes! Here's just a few of my faves...

Shakespeare's Sonnet 116 (particularly the following part...
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

Ani Difranco Buildings & Bridges
'cause I know there is strength
in the differences between us
and I know there is comfort
where we overlap

The last one of from a sci-fi/fantasy book (series) that I read when DH and I were dating. He was having a hard time accepting his feeling for me and this quote kept me hanging on. It's now engraved inside his wedding band. It was a really good book series too. I'm trying to find it again and I'll post it when I do.
~Love is most valuable when it's a struggle to achieve.

The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more; that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds .... That's what you've given me and that's what I hope to give to you forever.

Life is about change. Sometimes it's beautiful. Sometimes it's painful. Most of the time--it's both

There are many classic quotes from movies. I think the latest is from Michael Clayton, which goes like this:

I'm not your enemy.

Then, what are you?

I love quotes! Here are some good ones!

"Speak when you are angry and you will make the best speech you will ever regret."

"Look at a day when you are supremely satisfied at the end. It's not a day when you lounge around doing nothing; it's when you've had everything to do, and you've done it."

"If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. Don't complain"

"To live anywhere in the world today and be against equality because of race or color is like living in Alaska and being against snow."

"If we could sell our experiences for what they cost us, we'd all be millionaires."

"I can forgive, but I cannot forget, is only another way of saying, I will not forgive. Forgiveness ought to be like a cancelled note - torn in two, and burned up, so that it never can be shown against one. "

"Friendship... is not something you learn in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything. "

OMG That is SOOOO TRUE!

The motto I've lived by is "If you think you're going to regret not doing it...do it."

I also have quote that I found on CNN.com that was perfect for my at the time power-point-happy boss:

My belief is that PowerPoint doesn't kill meetings. People kill meetings. But using PowerPoint is like having a loaded AK-47 on the table: You can do very bad things with it.

Way to go, Nat!

My favorite quote is from Shakespeare's Sonnet 73 ("That time of year thou mayst in me behold")

This thou perceivest, which makes thy love more strong,
To love that well which thou must leave ere long.

My second is a Yogi Berrism,

"When you come to a fork in the road, take it!"
