I just chucked together chicken noodles, diced tomato, diced onion, tuna, pink salmon and water chestnuts. I'm cooking it all up in a big pot to make frozen meals out of. I just tried some of the noodles and they still taste chickeny, and it looks alright. Spur of the moment creation.

Does anyone else make weird combinations?

I mix things together quite often to make sauce for noodles...My theory is any veggies and meat mixed together, throw in a can of cream soup of some kind and pour it over noodles makes a quick and tasty meal..

Hmmm....I would try it! Sounds interesting!! I am usually up for trying new things. I am sure I have mixed weird things together but I cannot seem to think of anything right now!! Too tired I guess!!

Oh that does sound good! I love tuna and salmon And, don't ask me about weird food combinations...my husband thinks I'm from another planet when it comes to food. My "comfort" sandwich is peanut butter, Miracle Whip (NOT mayo), sliced green olives and cheese. He refuses to try it, but it really is good!

Sounds great

Tonight I threw together some chicken tortilla soup. I used chicken stock as the base, threw in tomatoes, cilantro, a can of black beans, diced celery, canned chicken shredded, diced onion, fresh garlic and a dash of cumin spice, garlic salt, and olive oil. I let it boil then simmer for awhile. Served with a slice of avocado, some tortilla chips, and low fat Mex cheese blend on top. Delicious and so filling! Easy to throw together at the last minute for a good meal with leftovers.
I throw together soups and pasta salads often. My favorite soup to throw together has miso as the base.

I make "everything in the cupboard" type meals sometimes. Most of the time they turn out good, sometimes not so good but I eat it anyway because I hate to waste food.

What you described is a jazzed up version of tuna casserole. I probably wouldn't have mixed the tuna and salmon together though. I would have used one or the other.

I also would have added some Cury and melted some cheese or plain yogurt into it at the end.
