In CFA Grand points are carried over where ever the cat goes. A cat will lose all it's Grand points IF the color class is changed. eg. Halfway to Granding the cat changes from red point to red lynx point.

As for National/Regional points, the new owner will have to advise CFA of the change in Regions and ask to keep the National points.

If the cat has done it's 40/100/100 rings, lower points collected will be replaced with the higher points collected over the next few shows until the season ends. If the cat is RW in a region (say in Kitten class) and then sold to a different region, the cat would keep it's RW and start collecting again in Championship or Premiership.

The only show where a cat does NOT collect any National/Regional points is the the Internationals. You can only collect Grand points at the Internationals.

I'm not positive but it would make sense to show in the new region at least the minimum # of rings for Regional award (8). I've never had to deal with it

I heard this from another exhibitor that shows in CFA and TICA. Since I know nothing of showing in CFA yet, I thought I would get your guys input.

I signed up for the cat show at the Chicago Pet Expo cat show in March! However I found out that the "household companion" show they are holding there (which is what I entered) is NOT a CFA show even though they are holding a CFA show for purebred cats in the same place. The HHP show is separate and I guess it's just run by the Chicago Pet Expo people. I'm not sure if they are using the CFA judges for the HHP competition or what, though. It's kinda confusing! I guess I will find out more when they send me the information. I'm still disappointed about the TICA show though...

Not a show, but I've been invited to bring an Ocicat to our Pet Expo for a breeds of the world display. 20 cats per day, out on a pedestal several times to talk about the different breeds.

Should be fun, now to decide which cat to bring

My husband will be at the TICA, Marshall, TX show on March 8-9.

Judges:
Yamada, Caruthers, Kovic, Harrison, K.DeVilbiss, Jones,
Edwards, Savant, Parkinson, Mays, Walbrun, Anderson

The kids and I are skipping this one and hope to attend a couple of shows next month, that are closer to home. My husband is taking Ch. Aurora, and hope to get a couple of more finals towards a grand. She did well in kitten class. I really hope to see Ashlan's blue point tortie mitted get a couple of finals. Our fingers are crossed for her.

I am excited to hear how Wild Bill does, our fingers are crossed that he becomes a Supreme for Mark and Family, at the IRC!!

Meridian Rembrandt and Drinkwater Six K of Meridian. Both male kittens. First show for both of them. Should be fun.

I was thinking of going to that one until I saw WHERE it was in Texas.

Can't wait to meet them. By the way, I visited your website and noticed Tuscany is expecting. I was thinking, "already?!!". I remember meet her at a show last summer and she was just a little kitten. I'm kinda of sad about seeing her "innocence" gone.

This is the girl that ruined her show career by going into heat after heat, starting at 4 months. She nearly drove us mad.

I had such high expectations for her to easily rise to supreme, but no....she wanted to mate.

I rarely show girls, because bengals are notorious for running early heats and if they do this, they must be bred early or we risk fertility problems.

Btw: she had her kittens 3 days ago. 2 nice spotted kits.

Hmm. Didn't know that about Bengal girls. Bad Tuscany! She should know that having a solid 'career' should come first, than worry about finding a mate! Sounds like a lot of girls I know!
