Late this afternoon I walked out into our living room and saw Forrest in the corner with something. I went over to investigate and he had a cockroach.

Last night Forrest kept getting into the fireplace so I think it came down the chimney. I ran to grab some toilet paper so I can pick it up and flush it and darned if Forrest doesn't follow me into the bathroom with the roach in his mouth. When I tried to grab it from him he turned away and crunch...crunch..it was gone.

When he was feral I'm sure his mom cat taught him that bugs were food. But I'm disgusted. He seemed so pleased with himself after he ate it and wanted to climb all over me for hugs. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has been horrified that their cat eat bugs and then want to snuggle.

I did tell him he was a good boy as I would not have wanted that thing in my house.

That's so gross.
Popsie doesn't eat any kind of bugs. They tickle his nose and he gives up.

That's what I was going to say about the protein!

When Shadow was a kitten (maybe five or six months old) he found a big ole waterbug in the apartment. I went to get something to take care of it and before I got back I heard a lot of crunching. The boy took care of it.
