I just HAVE to start a thread about this.

I'm ECSTATIC about the trades this year. Colorado Avs have done it again!!! We got Peter Forsberg back yesterday.
And he says he's going to be able to play again this year and wanted to come back. We got my all time favorite player EVER back - Adam Foote.
OK, OK...he may not mean a whole lot to a lot of people, but he's a GREAT defenseman, has good offensive skills and makes HARD hits. There's rumors that Rob Blake wants to come back to Colorado too, which would totally make our day, even if we are going to a wake today. Now THAT would be a great wake up call for our defense, which I think has really gone to hell since they traded those two. Liles would totally fit in with those two.

Now with the injuries being finished and the trades, we have power forwards of Sakik, Hejduk, Stasney, Svatos, Smythe and Forsberg. Talk about a SCHOOL for those young players! We have the offensive-minded defenseman of Footer back, along with his major leadership in the locker room.

And we just got some "insider" info that they are hopefully going to sign Blake today.
Oh man, that would be sweet! I just have to wonder what happened in LA, since Blake said he wanted to retire there when he was traded back there.

I was just looking at what has happened for my favorite team and The Senators acquired two-time Stanley Cup winner Martin Lapointe from the Chicago Blackhawks Today for a sixth-round draft pick. Lapointe has spent the last three seasons in Chicago.
I'm hoping we can pick up Marian Hossa before the deadline.

Wasn't it Adam Foote the one who scored the game winner that won the cup against Florida several seasons ago? Sounds like Colorado has been doing some interesting things.

My team, the Hurricanes, has been making some moves over the past couple weeks. So far it seems to be paying off, they're playing much better lately.

It'll be interesting to see how all of the teams do the rest of the season.

My Red Wings picked up a defenseman, Brad Stuart, to round out their top four blueliners. I was hoping they could have brought in an offensive player.

The Wings were in the running for Marian Hossa but he went to Pittsburgh.
