Hi all,

I recorded a local event and I need to make it into a DVD so it doesn't stay on my DVR and take up space. My DVR doesn't have an active USB port so I have to find a way to take the video and audio out to usb.......is there such a cable?

I've never done this before, but I have used a device which was intended to take VHS movies, record it to a video file (on your computer) and then output to a DVD. So I'm pretty sure that you could take the AV cables from your cable box/dvr and plug it into this device and use it to convert your dvr'd program to a dvd.

Here is a link to the one that I own: http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/ADS-T...oductDetail.do

It has worked pretty well, for me, converting vhs to dvd. The only thing that stinks is that you have to sit there and let the program play all the way through for a full capture - there's no quick fix like there is when burning a copy of a cd/dvd.
