(had to reschedule hanging out with her today since i'm sick.) I will be sure to get some great pictures of it. I LOVE it sooo much!!! I'm also going to make sure we get some cute pictures of it when it's on the wedding cake. I think it will be soo cute! I can't wait!!

I am not sure what i'm going to do about the top layer of the wedding cake. I'm not so crazy about the idea of freezing the cake for an entire year. What we may do is freeze just half of it and eat the other half now. OR what i'm leaning towards is serving the top layer at the wedding and then a year later getting the same thing in a small serving fresh from the bakery
I'm not sure yet! We'll see!!!

The colors we went with were Erinite, Crystal, Peridot, Chrysolite, White Pearl and the letter shape is "Jill." We got the 5" topper. I am soo thankful for how well it turned out
I would definitely go for the BUY a small cake later scenario!

I love the topper - I didn't have a topper. It's beautiful!

I honestly cannot remember what my cake topper was!

I personally vote for the freezing tradition, cause, well, it's tradition!
and my ex and I really didn't eat much, just a bite, I tried to smash it on him to repay what he to me did at the wedding and he got all mad- go figure
at least I wasn't smashing it all over a $1000 wedding dress!

We didn't feeze our cake because we just had a crappy apartment fridge and it was too full. Oh well.

Our topper, on the other hand, was memorable.
We had Pepe le Pew and Persephone.

Personally, I think it's most important to make your wedding personal, and that cake topper sounds just perfect for you two. If you love it, then it's perfect. Can't wait to see it!

I think i'll have to try and get a better picture of the topper- there's a bit of a glare going on in those two pics i posted- they don't do it justice!

Those are very nice!

As far as freezing the cake goes, mine was nasty too, after a year. But I didn't deep freeze it. I just had it in a regular household freezer. So I don't know how it would turn out if you used a deep freeze.

I loved the link. The picture doesn't do it justice - but with the portfolio in the links I can "see" how gorgeous it is!
Most importantly - YOU love it!

It's so fun to see you having so much fun!

CONGRATULATIONS on getting married!! My grandparents still have their wedding cake topper after 57 years. My grandma died in January but my grandpa take comfort fron the topper because it makes him remember the happy times before my grandma got so sick. Cake toppers can be a priceless treasure. I'm so glad you are pleased with yours.
