Um... thank you?

Kahlua (my roommate's 1 year old poodle mix) just trotted over to me, all pleased with herself. I held down a hand and she promptly "shook hands" and dropped something in my palm. I held it up to eye level to figure out what it was...

And then promptly threw it across the room!



Seems our mighty hunter caught the big yellow sac spider that makes it home upstairs...


It was dead... Thank goodness...


Ugh... I need to go sanitize my hands a dozen times....

So sorry but had to chuckle. We spend so much time with them teaching them to "drop it" and when they do it with something really, really icky, your skin crawls. That gets a reluctant "good girl Kahlua" with a big shudder.

She got a good girl (mostly for not giving me a LIVE spider!) Ewwww!

I can handle her bringing me cat poop and sticks and rocks and worms... but spiders?

Oh my gosh I would have screamed!!!!!!!!!! YUCK!!!!!

I don't think I would even give her a "good kitty" I hate spiders!

Sibohan used to come upstairs when I was staying at my grandparents covered in webs I had to grab a towl to get them all off.

Bleah! I could handle the spider, but when they bring the cat poop into the bed to snack on!

But I like snakes... And there aren't any poisonous ones here, so it'd be safe...

Ugly little yellow spider that has a nasty (though not deadly) bite.... Pretty sure that's what it was, anyway... I googled it a while to see.

That would have freaked me out so much

Makes me shudder just thinking about it!
