Kinky has started trying to cover the food dishes. Its just plain ole dry food and Ive never seen him do it before. We did just move and I lock them in the bedroom with me at night so all I can figure is that his nose is sensitive and he doesnt like the smell. Any other ideas?

All of mine have started doing this recently as well, and they are confined at night as well, so whatever the reason, it must be the same.
Maybe he's hiding it so no one can steal it? The move may have upset his routine and he wants to protect his food...just a thought!
It is possible he is trying to 'bury' his food for later...some cats do it often.
