Who else like the kind of silly music I do? Saftey Dance by Men without Hats, You can call me Al by Paul Simon, Come on Ilene by Dexies Midnight Runners, Sledge Hammer by Peter Gabriel. I love all that goofy eighties stuff.
I thought I'd add the Pinacolada song. The real name is called Escape.

"It's Raining Men" by The Weathergirls and "Manhunt" from Flashdance. Hmm...Raining Men and Manhunt. I think that there is a theme here.

I love "You Can Call Me Al" too (though it's more serious than it seems on the surface), and the video of it with Chevy Chase is just priceless. I love the look on Paul's face when he starts to play the conga:

But my all-time favorite "silly song" is Harry Nilsson's classic "Lime In The Coconut" (not the '80s, though -- it goes all the way back to the late '60s). If you're a young whippersnapper who's never heard the original, you can listen here:

The video was made by kids whose grandparents probably owned the Nilsson Schmilsson album, but they did a great job. It's a lot of fun!
