Friends sent a few photos of the new Bengal they're going to be getting - he's currently only a few weeks old.

I emailed back and said "you're getting ONE Bengal?!?!?!" I explained to them how active Bengals are , and given that they both work full time and have busy lives, and live in an apartment (but will be buying a house soon), they REALLY should consider a second one so they can wrestle with each other and keep each other amused.

So now they're getting a second Bengal.

You did the right thing, though!
Can you imagine the havoc that cat would have wrought?

You did the right thing! I believe in getting them in pairs... however, Im one short right now... still waiting on CryBaby (maybe I should give up???)

Good, cause if they did not have another cat or dog for the Bengal to play with - they would think a tornado went thru the house! You did the right thing

Same with the Oci's - its recommended you not have just one Oci. They need another cat or dog to play with.

I think with any kitten it applies, but with active breeds much more so. I don't think I'll ever get just 1 kitten again, it's all very well adding one later, but littermates has got to be so much easier than doing introductions!

I will never have one kitten again in my life. There will be two. Always. The first few months being alone with 8-Bit were a bit on the rough side. Once we got Scratch he calmed down.

Weird thing is that the breeder initially said to them that one kitten would be fine on its own, even with their busy lives. Isn't that odd?

Just as I was reading this line, I heard a crash from my kitchen - and Max is the only one up and about at the moment.

You did a GREAT job, truly!
Getting two now will prevent posssible future hassle and unhappiness on the part of both humans and cat!

This way, they start out happy and stay happy!

Feel free to show them cat wheel pics on TCS, LOL...especially that recent one of Nial's two boys walking side by side on theirs.

Excellent work, Sarah the Cat Lover!

You forgot to tell them that one of them will have to quit their job and stay home to look after the cats because while 1 is bad, 2 are like perpetual 2 year olds!
