Hello All - My mom's cat, Katy Blue, was just diagnosed with an Autoimmune Deficiency. I haven't had any experience with this and was just trying to get an idea as to how serious it is. She received bloodwork results back today that indicated it has not affected any internal organs. The vet says it is strictly related to the skin and is doing various skin biopsies today. She will not have those results back until next Wednesday.
Is this a serious disease? Or, can it be managed? She has always been a very healthy cat and this just appeared out of of nowhere over the past 2 months. Initially we thought it was just allergies.
