Missing Cat

My cat came home injured. The pet sitter (I was away) took her to the vet where she had a neck injury sutured. She spent 3 days in the office and on day 4 escaped. (too long of a story no one's fault). She is missing now. THe office is 5 miles from my house. I have spent 8 days searching high and low. Any tips please? I live in the Caribbean. We have put posters all over, a radio spot was done and I have had search teams helping me.

Sending lots and lots of TCS prayers and vibes that your kitty is found safe, and very soon
Hopefully, she didn't go far from the vet. Try putting some of her used litter in spots nearby in places where a cat might hide, and put out some food & see if it gets eaten. Also, take an old sweatshirt & give yourself a good workout in it, to get the sweatshirt extra-scented and then put pieces of it in the same area. Try to lure her back to the safest area there, perhaps a little used alley or in someone's yard, away from the street and with lots of bushes or other shelter.
Sending you some comfort vibes, too - it is such a worry when the kitties go missing

Love the sweatshirt idea..the vet has 3 cats and 3 dogs so anytime I put out food they eat it..she was an outdoor cat so no litter..BUT KEEP the ideas coming..

check my website www.lost-pets.org including the links. Also is there a scent dog nearby that might be able to find your cat?

I have put posters all over and flyers in mailboxes. I have found kids are great to approach and seem to care. I have a feeling she will find me. I am calling her psychically and verbally. Thanks all. I remain optimistic.

Try walking around where she was last seen and shake a bag of food and call her name, pour the food into a bowl and rattle it around so it sounds like "dinnertime."
Good luck, the waiting and not knowing is so hard!

I have brought food and call her name but the area dogs bark incessantly and she will hide from them and not come out. I cannot hear her call me back either. I have stopped looking as I have no idea where to look. I am praying she comes home.

Wow. If I were a vet, I'd move down there in a heartbeat!

I cannot find Wanda...I have looked high and low. I hired an animal communicator with no luck. I have prayed. I have search teams. Posters everywhere, soliciting everyone. She is scared and hiding. How long can she last?? I live in the Caribbean. She was a mostly outdoor cat so probably can hunt. We have had rain too.

Don't give up hope!!!

I have read somewhere that said it may take up to 7weeks for cat to come out of hiding.
