What A Nice Surprise!

We had our POWER CLUB meeting tonight. That's the Self-Advocacy For Disabled Adults group that I'm in, and in March we're going to the yearly Convention. Usually THE POWER CLUB has to pay for the vans out of it's bank account and we have to pay for the gas ourselves, but this year, the GE Retirees decided to pay for all our transportation needs for the Convention! Needless to say, we're all very happy and excited!

Your group sounds interesting I was just thinking tonight how difficult things can be for disabled adults. My gfriend's housecleaner dropped her off by my office tonight, and she left her motorized wheelchair @ home, and it really hit me when I was helping her down the ramp and into my car, that I really, really need to be more thankful for my health & mobility
