If so, I typically lose about 25-50 strands of hair this morning. I was wondering if instead of throwing them out if I could collect them and donate them for cancer patients?

That's a good idea - it's biodegradable!

Yea, unfortunately I can't sent in hair swept up off the floor. Too bad since I know its clean

I donate my hair every year-two to Locks of Love. They need at least 10" and it must be in a ponytail and clean before you send it off.

I donated 16 inches of hair to locks of love last year! (my hair is still past my butt!) just go to the website, if you have long hair you can donate some of it, it will grow back! I helped 3 people get wigs with my donation! I did have to pay all the shipping, but it wasn't much, and I kept the thank you cards from the ones that got my hair! It was a wonderfull experience, except for the fact that for a long time I would run my fingers through my hair it would abruptly stop! But its pretty much all grown out again!
