Could it be though that her name isn't Freyer but Freyja? Freyja is the nordic goddess of love and she had a cart that was pulled by two huge (often shown as white and long haired) cats. It's also a common name for women in Iceland and probably Norway and Sweden etc. as well.

I think Freyja suits her very well, she's majestic and suits being named after a goddess
pronounced Fray-yuh, right? I like that. Also like the suggestions of Willow, Opal, Sophia, Lily, Polly, Jasmine, Isabel, Lydia.

If she is a Turkish Van, why not Vanessa?
If she isn't, doesnt matter, she has "Vans markings" - spots on the head/ears and on her tail.

Heres a couple of Celtic Pet Names I printed out and forgot about a couple yrs ago...
Here are a few of my Faves:

Cinnie/Cinnia- Beauty
Coventina- water Goddess ((i figured that was nice as Turks like water))
Guennola- love
Fiona- white or comely

Good luck picking a name!
I like Unique names!.. but I rarely have the chance to use them.

Oh my goodness!! What a massive response!

I've narrowed the list down to:

Polly
Lilly
Opal
Sascha
Speckles

I love Bella but I have a regular 5 year old visitor (my cousin) named Bella, she already has a big enough head
without having a cat "named after her"!

Suggestions still welcome!
Thanks so much everyone, she is gorgeous isn't she

I like Freyja myself, but since you've narrowed your list down to others I'll see if I can be a little bit more helpful than that.
How about:

Theria/Theri
Zoe
Addison/Adela/Addie
Zenobia
Eclair
April
Andie
Heather
Catnip (
)
Marie
Kelley
Turquoise
Callie
Robin
Tessa

...I'll stop now!

She's a Colette. Definitely.

But if you're picking from your list, I like Opal

Polly sounds more like a name for a parrot. Out of the ones you've listed I like "Lilly" and "Opal" the best.

Never will I name my cat Dotty. hahahahaha

I really like Lilly too. And Sascha. I think that's where I'm leaning towards. My boyfriend still wants me to call her Cookie though!
I like all the other names, but she needs something reeally feminine and something that's cute too...

Lilly is my preference at the moment but I think I'll choose for sure when I pick her up on Thursday.
So exciting!

Hmmm.. I'm not the best at this over the internet... I can usually think up a name really well if I'm interacting with the animal or like holding them. I'll give it a try, though. Sorry if they suck.

In alphabetical order, 'cause I'm a nerd :p ::

Bailey
Bizzy
Bianca
Blossom
Dove
Gracie
Hope
Magpie
Pebbles
Pookie
Sabrina
Twinkle
(Sorry for any repeats from things said before... I just wanted to get those all out there, so I didn't have time to read all of the posts..)

Aand... The end. I tried to give you as many options as I could... I think they're all pretty cute names.

But once again, I'd need to actually meet her. If you don't like any of mine... From your list, Lilly. I like that name.
I also like Colette, though... Not on your list, but I saw it was suggested and totally agree.

Out of these, she looks like a Polly. I like Lilly too (but spelled like the flower, Lily). Polly is more unique, in a good way. Cookie fits her very well also (and I don't even normally like food names for cats).

She also looks like a Daisy, Mia, or Sophie.

She is beautiful!
She reminds me of my cat (Matilda).

so many conflicting ideas! I'm just going to have to wait until I see her in person.
Right now I'm thinking,

Lily
Sasha
Polly
Tillie (I stole that off your cat's name being Matilda... very cute!)

When I see her in person though that will be the decider.

Ooooh I'm so excited! Thanks for all your replies!!
