My sons birthday is on Thursday too! I was actually secretly hoping that rupy DOESN'T have her kittens on that day because I have so much to do! It would be a great birthday present for you though! Maybe Dill wants to give you babies for your birthday!

UPDATE

GUESS WHAT......

NO KITTENS......NO CONTRACTIONS...

She has had more discharge but nothing else, no more wet spots nothing.....I sopke to the vet and she said there is no "rule" to how long after they begin to loose the plug till they deliver, " as long as there is no blood and the kittens are still moving and she seems ok, we will Wait it out, maybe things are not as far as we thought" OMG IM SO TIRED OF waiting it out
post #274 of 463
Aww Dill, come on!

I'm certain she will deliver sometime in the next 24 hours because I will have NO COMPUTER ACCESS until 11pm tomorrow night!

did I say Saturday? I think I meant NEXT Saturday!

When I took Elsa to the vet, he xrayed her and said, "at least 2 kittens, maybe 3, in no more than 10 days." 3 weeks later, she had 8 kittens.

Its nice to know I can rely on my vet....lmao......so maybe ill just wait for it instead of taking her in on friday if she doesn have them, I mean If she is ok and the kittens are ok and she isnt in any danger then why take medical intervention??? If, however, there are problems or anything like that the OBVIOUSLY medical intervention is needed, but I dont think i want to put her through that...what if the vet is wrong on due dates, obviously that is possible....lol.......Today she has been cleaning more and sleeping more, eating has slowed more too.....snaking but not alot, its getting close i can feel it.....Today would be a great day, no school today got snowed in....

No kittens yet!?!? Come on Dill, what are you thinking holding them in? It's the perfect time! (I think any ime she has them will be perfect though after she's kept us guessing for so long though...) With the luck we've all been having lately Dill will probably wait for another week before she decides to have them.

...at any rate though, more vibes are coming her way for a speedy delivery!

That's something! I'm not sure what exactly it is, but it definitely sounds like improvement. The increase in discharge makes me wonder if it'll be really soon though. (I don't have any experience with it though because the first time Twix got pregnant I didn't even know to look or it, the second time she had only a little bit right before she started having contractions.)

More for her. Go Dill!!

Do you have to use a special litter box with low sides for her? I can't see how she could get over the sides of a regular box with that belly!

Nope same litter box, we set up a large low sided cake pan in our room with litter in it too just so she can stay there and not have to go to far but wont use it so.....

NO KITTENS YET......

Let's hope she hurries up. I am leaviing for Florida in the morning and can't keep up on things until late Friday night. Unless we get a hotel with WiFi. Come on already DILL.

I have to say....THIS IS GETTING REALLY HILARIOUS!!! I mean really! How long have we been at this now??? 285 Posts??? Dill needs to hurry up and do it already!!! I think she is just leading us all on and there aren't actually any kittens, she just wants to see how long we will keep this up.... She is probably thinking "Stupid humans"!

We all just want to see her kittens! After all, with a face like the one she has, the kittens can't be anything but gorgeous. (She's also big enough to be mistaken...come on, who DOESN'T want to know how many she's got? It looks like five hundred! )

If you don't want to have them now Dill, have them tonight! Everyone's waiting!

Go dill go. It kind of scares me that her water broke yesterday and she still hasn't had them. I have heard that there shouldn't be more than a few hours between water breaking and a kitten.
Aww Dill... I paid for internet in my hotel room to see if you had your kittens yet!

I hope she has them at midnight, what a great way to start your birthday!

Her water didnt break I spoke to the vet she said it might have been pee....only because if her water broke there would have been alot more than that( apperently) and she would have started to clean herself...im not worried if the vet isnt....she said everything is ok, I belive her.......I trust her whole heartedly she has been our vet for years with all our pets

New here (kinda) to this thread anyway... I joined this list 3 years ago when I adopted a cat from the pound only to find out she was pregnant... I recognize some of the names from then, so some of you may recall "Willow-the-wonder-cat" or "Finding Chemo" lol. I remember having a thread just like this. Anxiously trying to figure out when she was going to have her kittens - hence where the "wonder" part of her name came - as in - I "wonder" when her kittens will ever come. LOL

ANYWAY... correct me if I'm wrong... but a cat's water doesnt break as a humans would. Each kitten is it's own sac (and placenta). Hence each has it's own bag of water... the sacs usually dont break until after they are born and the mother rips them open. Occasionally they do break before then, but from my understanding it is caused by the birthing process.

I started reading Dill's thread the other night - I SO relate to your anxiety. Here's hoping her newest preening is paws for the cause!

Wow -- just read this whole thread, and wow. You could make an epic movie of this tale, not even kidding.

I'll be back tomorrow, hopefully Dill will have decided to go ahead and have some kittens by then.

And Ms Friskers had better not get any clever ideas about her labor from this...
