Need vibes...more bad news - will it ever get better?

My mom was admitted in January for a blood clot. They gave her warfarin to help the clot dissolve naturally. At the time they also found some gallstones.

Her liver enzymes are off the chart along with her bilirubin. She has to be admitted again. She hasn't slept for days, is in constant pain because of the swelling, and hopefully, they will now check to make sure she doesn't have any biliary duct obstructions.

Can I get some vibes that the doctors can figure out what is wrong? Her spirit is broken and she has no hope of them ever being able to figure it out and get her feeling better.

Thanks....I just wish she would get better.

I am so sorry to hear that, All my prayers and vibes to your mom and family. I was thinking about you on the weekend and was wondering how your mom was.

Thanks everyone! She did not have to go through the ER to get admitted so that was a plus. She has a liver specialist working on her to try and figure out what is going on. The symptoms just happened so suddenly that it makes me think of an obstruction of some sort.

She is in a room and I will be going up there shortly to see how things are going. My dad brought her in per the Doctor's request. I'm at work so I can walk over to where the patient's rooms are.

I'll keep you posted as soon as I know something.

They don't think it is an obstruction. They think something she was taking may have aggravated her liver. Right now they are trying to get her INR levels down and then work on the liver and the water she has collected due to her legs being swollen.

She has had pain in her legs for months. I am frustrated because there is nothing I can do for her.

My mom got to go home today. Her levels are down enough where she could go home. She is on a low protein, low sodium diet and can only drink 1 Liter of liquid per day. They gave her something for the pain and I hope it starts to help.
