My dear Tavia is gone - Page 2

What a terrible thing to happen, but you could have done nothing, and you were at least there for her. I am so sorry for you and for the rest of the family. I know how much Tavia will be missed.

I'm so sorry for your tremendous loss.

Please don't blame yourself. I know it's hard, but I believe what you said - that Tavia was calling you home, and wanted to love her favorite person in the whole world. It sounds so much like how my aunt lost her cat. They were playing and loving on her bed when Misty kinda twitched then ran into the headboard really hard. Janet (my aunt) had to know what happened and had an autopsy done. Turned out Misty had a severe stroke, and running into the headboard had nothing to do with her death at all. It does sound like there was something else going on - a heart attack, a stroke, an aneurism, any number of things.

I'm glad, though, that you were with her when she left. You were able to help her by calming her, and that means a lot.

Rest peacefully, Tavia, and look after your Meowmy. Her heart really hurts right now.

Oh my gosh...Frankie died early, early in the am last Tuesday. It was also unexpected and in our arms despite all my efforts.

I don't know why such special cats left us so soon, I send you a hug, my deepest sympathies. Please feel free to pm me anytime, I am struggling also with my loss.

I'm so sorry about the loss of Tavia It really does sound like she was calling you home to spend one last time together.

i'm sure others have told you this... but there was probably already a problem when she jumped, or she wouldn't have 'landed wrong'. we always blame ourselves for things like this, even when they were not preventable... i know i did, when Mouse died. i kept going over & over what i could've done differently... if i had taken her to the last vet, first, or noticed a problem earlier. my head knows differently, but my heart still said/says those things. it's so difficult when they leave us, even with warning, but i think the sudden, unexplained passings are harder. i've had both, & i really felt worse when Mouse died, within only 10 days, than when Medley passed, after about 6 weeks of illness. you did what you could, & you couldn't have known that her jumping off the bed would suddenly be a problem, when it never was before

I am very sorry about your loss of Tavia. She meant and still means so much to you.
What helpd me when I lost Sheba unexpectedly was to write down a list of items about her so I wouldn't forget. I have this taped to the back of a framed photo of her.

She is happily played with all our cherished cats at the rainbow bridge.

Take care.

Grown ups cry when they hurt, too. It's a part of loving.

I am so, so sorry about your baby dying so unexpectedly. That makes it so much more difficult as you're just not prepared for it - though I don't know if anyone ever is. I agree that she must have been calling you home: I doubt very much it was the fall itself that caused her to pass.

I don't understand why she would be called home so young - but I know she was very loved and is happy and whole now, doing what she can to send you reassurance. I'm sure if you listen to your heart, you'll feel her.

Gail, I am so so sorry. I can't imagine how you must feel. It is good to cry. Get it out, and dont be ashamed because you are grown, like it was said before it is a part of loving. . . Tavia is now at Rainbow Bridge waiting for the day she can see you again. . . I like the idea of writing down everything about her, so you can remember. We all know how much you loved her... Just remember time heals. . . My deepest condolences to you. . .

Tavia - enjoy your time now at Rainbow Bridge. Tell my babies I miss them!

I'm so sorry to hear about your sweet baby. You can cry all you want to. Its been almost a year since I lost my Howard, and I still find myself tearing up when I think about him. Im sure it was meant to be. She was placed in your life for a reason and was taken away when her job here was done. Just try to think about what good thing she brought to your life. Im sure my Howard is there at the rainbow bridge to greet her. Play peacefully at the rainbow bridge little Tavia....

Condolences on losing your precious girl, Tavia. I agree that it could easily have been a stroke that caused the fall - even in humans, it happens so suddenly, despite all sorts of tests. Please take comfort in knowing that she crossed from this realm to the next with your love lighting the pathway over RB. Play happily over Rainbow Bridge, Sweet Tavia

I am so sorry

There is so much self-blame when we lose a pet, and it is really hard to let that go. Take your time and cry as much as you need to try not to blame yourself- it was not your fault. You were there for her at her time of passing, and gave her great comfort I am sure
May her sweet soul play happily over the bridge

RIP Tavia sweet baby girl
