Gail, don't forget, you may have taken her to the vet days prior & found nothing wrong. You may have found something & been told there was nothing to do.
I lost Sandy Paws to a suspected heart attack - he was 2 years old. Vet said there's nothing to be done. He just...fell over & was gone.

I am so so so so sorry Gail. Please don't blame yourself, cry until your heart's content but know that this is just uncontrollable and there was nothing you could do - it sounds like it was very quick. So hopefully Tavia's passing wasn't too stressful.

Gail I am SO sorry to hear about Tavia, it sounds like there was an underlying problem, and it sounds like there's nothing you could do. Cats are so good at hiding pain until it's too late unfortunately

RIP Tavia, your mum loved you so much.

What a terrible thing to happen, but you could have done nothing, and you were at least there for her. I am so sorry for you and for the rest of the family. I know how much Tavia will be missed.

I'm so sorry for your tremendous loss.

Please don't blame yourself. I know it's hard, but I believe what you said - that Tavia was calling you home, and wanted to love her favorite person in the whole world. It sounds so much like how my aunt lost her cat. They were playing and loving on her bed when Misty kinda twitched then ran into the headboard really hard. Janet (my aunt) had to know what happened and had an autopsy done. Turned out Misty had a severe stroke, and running into the headboard had nothing to do with her death at all. It does sound like there was something else going on - a heart attack, a stroke, an aneurism, any number of things.

I'm glad, though, that you were with her when she left. You were able to help her by calming her, and that means a lot.

Rest peacefully, Tavia, and look after your Meowmy. Her heart really hurts right now.

Oh my gosh...Frankie
died early, early in the am last Tuesday. It was also unexpected and in our arms despite all my efforts.

I don't know why such special cats left us so soon, I send you a hug, my deepest sympathies. Please feel free to pm me anytime, I am struggling also with my loss.
