Pet door vs Interior Raised Panel Doors

As we get ready for the arrival of our new family member, a Maine Coon kitten, we designated the laundry room as the place for his litter box. However, there may be times that we would like to be able to close the door to the laundry room . . . requiring the installation of a pet door. Problem: The door is not flush on both sides, it is of the raised panel kind. This would seem make for a difficult installation, due to the design in the door. Has anyone faced this project, or have an idea about a pet door for such a door? I've done this same exact thing in another home, but the door was smooth on both sides -- it worked great! I've looked around on the net, and was not able to find anything. Hoping someone out there has an idea that will help us. Thank you in advance. Gary
