Recently I noticed my Yellow Mellow being in great deal of discomfort and scratching his ear a lot. What turn out to be a problem no one can identify. To make it even worst, it's very hard to explain what is going on. Therefore, I took this picture th of the problem ear.
Please, please, please advise if you ever saw this before, cause I'm going crazy and vets are not able to pinpoint the problem.
Her it is on my Google photo album.
Thank you in advance.

Have you had a vet take a biopsy? Thats probably your best bet to find out what that is.

It's hard to pinpoint age due to being from a pond but it might be around 4-4 to 6 yrs. old.
As far as biopsy, I am taking him to Vet college on Friday (Someone on on other forum recomended that).
I was just hoping that someone would recognise this. It's most discuraging that unknown fact. The fact that no vet or cat lover so far can say that they had a similar problem. That's what worries me the most.
I mean, it's not that bad, right? Who cares if he looses his ear as long as there's no problems deeper indide beyond view.
Thanks guys for your time.
I f you could ask around - all I want to know is if someone saw this before?

That is weird. I've seen something like it before....but I don't think what that was is possible in this case. That case was B.B. pellets in a dog.....and a long sad story.

Have they checked for infection or something else that could cause increased amounts of wax? I found a couple of descriptions which sound similar:

http://www.sniksnak.com/cathealth/hematoma.html (probably on a smaller scale than what is described)

http://www.paw-talk.net/forums/f76/b...ars-36822.html (this one doesn't mention a resolution, but the description is similar)

geez... I've never seen anything like that before, but it doesn't look good. It definitely looks like something is under the skin. I don't understand why they can't cut a piece and check it out. Guess the biopsy will tell that.. keep us posted, hope all turns out well.
