I have now had Nova for 63 days, and she is an indoor-only cat.
I am not sure the exact date of conception.
She was outdoors up until the day I went to pick her up.
(A stray who had been in a friends yard for a couple of weeks.)
So she'll have her kittens any day now.

Earlier this week, she had a twitchy bottom and was frequently laying on her side and kind of "peddling" with her hind legs. She seemed restless and made cooing sounds whenever she was awake.
She did this for two days before I took her to the vet to check that everything was still OK.
(I'm so nervous! This is my first litter of kittens.)
They told me she was just experiencing discomfort, and that she was not yet due.
They also told me that she was going to have 3 or 4.

(Where does she fit them? She looks small to me.)
This was on Tuesday.

So now I'm just waiting.

I think I see them moving around in there, but I'm not sure.
I hope that the delivery goes smoothly, and that they come out healthy.
(Nova was vaccinated the day after I got her, before she showed signs of pregnancy.)
Secondary to their health, of course, I'm anxious to see how the little ones will look!

She should start "nesting" behavior very soon. I.E. Looking for a spot to have her babies. This could be digging around in your closets, under your beds, or looking for a dark quiet place in your basement (if you have one).

I would suggest you set up a kennel, or a large box with nesting material, (towels, rags, old clothes, etc) for her to get used to and hopefully she will decide that it is acceptable.

We set up 4 different boxes with newspaper, pillowcases, and Tshirt scraps.

She's inspected all of them, and seems to prefer the one in the bedroom, next to the bed.
Last night she went in and out of the box and went to work at scratching the newspaper.

Should be soon, but I'm quite restless!

That's so funny.
I feel the same way. We probably have most of a week left, though. So, in the meantime, I'll live vicariously through you and the others who are expecting.

Day 70, no kittens yet.
The day isn't over, but I am quite worried.

My regular vet is closed on Sundays.
If she does not have kittens by this evening (Sunday), then she will definitely have passed the 70 day mark.

To those of you with experience, would you recommend that I take her to the emergency clinic this evening (Sunday), or wait a bit longer and take her to her regular vet on Monday morning?

What's her behavior like today?

She is restless and crying.
Sometimes the crying is meowing, sometimes it sounds like pigeons cooing (sorry for the strange description).
From time to time, she lays on her side and kicks (kind of like pedaling).
I don't know if this matters, but she is also stretching a lot.
Most of the time, she is walking around the house rather than laying down.

Sounds like she is ready to have. Meeko just had one but she was meowing and walking around the night before. She demanded Coco be with her too. Maybe she will ahve today. This was over 5 Years ago. Meeko just had one Kitten ever and it was Yoshi. Not sure why she is kicking though. Mine never did that. Can you see if there is any dischage yet?
