Rob went out the other day to get some more cat food. He brought back a few new cans including Almo Nature. It's a big hit here! The cat's just tried the chicken and tuna and he also bought the plain chicken in broth.
They have a large variety of flavours (check out their website).

The canned food we tried was just shredded meat, nothing else added. So note, it's not completely formulated and must be combined with other foods to get the right balance of nutrients/vitamins.

Found this old thread and just thought I would bump it up for any other Canadians interested. It's a good treat to add if you're cats are bored with their current foods.

Some UK members, and myself (just yesterday in this thread:http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...=157368&page=4)
have mentioned this "all-natural" European canned food, available for cats and dogs. I wondered why the company suddenly has a Canadian address, and found the above link. It should be on the market in March.

Info in English: http://www.almonatureuk.com/
I clicked on that first link and it says it WAS due to be released in Canada in March of 2008 (this March passed) - so it would seem it's already here?

I couldn't get the company's site link to work, so I went looking and found this one.

If it is to be sold here in Canada, I'm sure that it will also come with the AAFCO-style Guaranteed Analysis/Ingredients labelling/advertising...then I'll take a closer look.

Just off the top, however, one caution/red flag I see is that some of the varieties have a (seemingly) super-low fat content....our kitties get their energy from fat and, it seems to me that one would want to be very careful to ensure - as you have stated - a balanced diet.
