Hello!

One of my girls has a sensitive stomach so the vet recommended Science Diet i/d. It has been great, but I am not pleased with the ingredients. Are there other brands that have a dry food comparable to i/d but with better ingredients?

Thanks!!

I think it's going to depend on the kitty. Honestly? When mine have tummy troubles, rather than the ID, I go to Purina ONE sensitive systems. It works better than ID for me, because mine won't eat it.
ONE isn't the best, but better, IMO.

What foods REACTED ??? do you have ideas of what may cause the trouble or is the I/D being used post illness

My kitties eat Purina One sensitive systems, too. When one of my cats started vomiting alot over the summer they were eating California Natural chicken formula. Shasha, went to the vet and all kinds of test were done she even went to ER because she didn't seem well one evening and more test were done. Everything was normal. The vet suggested food allergies and then I tried all kinds of foods and she vomited everyday at least two or three times. It was really sad because she is top cat and still had energy to let the other cats know it. Anyway, I tried Purina One sensitive systems and she seems to like it and is doing well. I'm surprised because normally I only feed premium food, but if it's working I'll stick with it. We tried i/d and kitties like Purina One better.

I started using i/d after one of my girls was ill. She had really bad diarrhea and the vet recommended the switch. It has really helped her. I actually noticed a difference in her and the vet thinks we should just keep her on it. Of course, they are both on it because it's hard to feed they both different food.

Thanks for the Purina One sensitive systems recommendation!
