Morning all!

Sherral....hope you have a great day. Maybe there will be a good TV program on, if not.....I still have tons of laundry to do if you'd like to come over I can make sure I keep you busy all day long!

Tamme, have a great day with your grandma!

Myself...I am not a happy camper today! Hubby was supposed to work on the bathroom (nope, I still do not have a functional bath/shower) Anyways, woke up this morning and we are in the middle of another snow storm sooooooo he is gone to work. ARGH! I need that completed like: YESTERDAY!

My little guy is pretty sick today. He is coughing quite a bit and both of his eyes are bloodshot. First time I see that. I'll keep an eye on him and see what I should do. Gave him some cough medecine so hopefully that'll calm that part.

Didn't do groceries yesterday cause I figured I'd go today. Looks like that was not a very swift move on my part. Hope the snow dies down so I can get some munchies.

Have a great day everyone. Looks like I'm sticking around home so I'll be popping in and out of here.

Its raining, again. We'll be staying around the house, today. I need to go out, for lighter fluid and reading glasses. Since I'm stuck at home, anyway, I may as well color my hair. That awful color is showing up, at my temples, again. I am going to die, as a blond or redhead!

stayed up late last night and watched some movie on the sci fi channel about some kids being kidnapped by a satanic cult group, i fell asleep just as the last two got away.
i have absolutely no plans today just relaxing and praying that jake goes to work so i can have the place to myself.

Yesterday was beautiful, it was 40 degrees and felt just like spring!!! :flower: :flower: :flower: Today is completely different, we had a cold front come through our area last night and the temperature is only about 0 right now. YUCK!!!!

At least the sun is shinning!!!!

I don't have anything planned for today either besides going to church. Maybe I'll do some cleaning this afternoon.

Falling asleep in the middle of that is bound to give you nightmares you know! Maybe that's why you woke up in sweat :tounge2:

Ghys, I gather that ear of yours is alright? The doctor said you should know by sunday right?

Not much hapenning here. My internet connection is giving me some trouble so I'm mainly working on the course... No rest for the wicked, internet connection or none

Have a great day everyone!

Anne...thanks for asking!
My ear is ok. He wanted me to go back if all the numbness and tingling was not gone. It is though so I'm guessing it's all ok. I did end up with a slight earache on sat night. And...the funny thing now is that I hear better out of the ear he unblocked than out of my ear that was ok to begin. I think I should have asked for a 2 for 1 special!

Lesson well learned though...I doubt I'll be using Q-Tips again....

my cats like to play with q-tips. perhaps the aliens had you cat switch the normal q-tip with a secret weapon?

just finished the bathroom. YAY! stayed up way too late working on it last night. the faucet leaks a little under the counter, but hopefully some more teflon tape or putty will help. hubby was nailing a front piece to the cabinet right below the new sink/counter and ka-chunk, there goes a little chunk of brand new counter.
mr. pefect explains that he wasn't worried about nailing so close to the counter (he had about a millimeter of error room.) because he NEVER misses when he is using a hammer. funny, i remember him putting dents in the woodwork a couple of times. anyway. i sanded the boo-boo spot smooth (it's a matte finish counter top) and am smearing toothpaste on it to disguise the spot. i've decided the ammend the if you can fix it list to...

WD40
Duck tape
Toothpaste

todays plans are to do as little as possible.

hope everyone has a good day!

Jan - sorry to hear about the mishap. Good tip on the toothpaste - though doubt it'll stand up to much cleaning...

Kellye - I was sweating my guts out last night too. I was up from 3:00am to 6:00am, and then Lazlo woke us yowling at 8:00am. No more sleeping in mornings any more.

Poor Gary has been having a real problem sleeping the last few nights, so he finally took one of those sleeping pills the Doc prescribed before one of his operations last year. It didn't work well - he was obviously having horrible dreams, kept kind of waking up but still in the dream, and he was thrashing about. He doesn't remember what he was dreaming about. Maybe that's good.

My kitties play with Q-tips too! We never leave them with them though....

Cindy - got my first greay hair the other day. I pulled it out with tweezers. Won't be long now before that won't work I'm pretty sure....

Binkyhoo - (BTW - what's your real name? ???? ) - have fun shopping! It IS fun to spend other people's money!!!

Tamme - have fun with your grandma. I really wish I'd spent more time with mine while she was still with us. She was a spunky lady and lived to 96! She had a college degree (born in 1901), and my grandpa worked for the Labor Relations Board as a Union Arbitrator. They were based out of Pittsburgh. She helped organize coal miner's wives. She also loved ice-skating, which she did into her 80s.

Anne - good luck course-writing. :tounge2:

Lorie - was it raining and now everything's frozen? That's what's happening to us. I guess it's better than the mud. But we don't even have sun here today.

Ghys - hope your little guy gets better real soon!!!!! Sorry to hear the bathroom's not done yet. I thought you went off to take a bath the other night? I must have missed something....

Sherral - hope you find something good on TV! Gary and I are planning to pick out a movie to watch in a little while (we have a pretty extensive collection). I think I feel like a Pink Panther... I love Peter Sellers! I already got the vacuuming done, and it's not the weekend to clean the cats.

Laurie...I did get to take one bath so far. Hubby made some kind of contraption (with rubber hoses attached directly the pipes) so that he was able to fill the tub for him. Looks like that's what he's going to be doing again if he doesn't get at it soon!

Last October I had to go 3 months without a washroom. It was not fun trying to wash your hair in the kitchen sink! I'm so glad the bathroom reno is over.

I'm still feeling lousy from this flu. I've had it now a full 5 days and I feel horrible. At night I can't sleep because of the congestion and coughing, so I end up on the couch in the livingroom trying to sleep sitting up.

Of course I don't get any sleep and no medication helps. I hate colds!!! (stamps feet). To make it worse the temperature which is now around +2C is suppose to start dropping now and be a high of -12C by tomorrow.

Great!

Oh Kass...sounds like you have caught one nasty flu. Sleeping sitting up is definately not fun. I went through that a while back.

Hope you are feeling better soon and sleeping like a baby!

Hope you get well REAL soon, Kass!

I had a bad case of bronchitis once. The Doc subscribed a cough syrup that had codeine in it. I slept like a baby without any coughing. Any chance of talking to your Doc about it? You DO need sleep to get better!!!!!

Phenergan w/codeine is great stuff. My older son, Richard was asthmatic and got pneumonia, every winter. Doc routinely wrote out a scrip for that.

Laurie, that tweezer business doesn't work, for long. Its just been within the past year that those nasty hairs have been noticeable. There are a few, in my eyebrows, too but those I CAN control with tweezers.

Laurie - I plan to seal it when i get it to the point where you can't see the dent anymore. I just like using toothpaste because its so easy to work with it. i use it for small patching jobs all the time. it is really easy to paint over toothpaste -- you don't even have to prime it first if it's just a small area.

after this weekend i feel like the toothpaste queen!

kass - i hope you are feeling better soon!
