Hey folks,
After my last vet visit (where vet told me that cats allergic to beef can respond in the same way to venison and cats allergic to chicken can respond to duck and rec'd a rabbit food), I wanted to post and see if anyone knows of any rabbit (or other odd protien source) dry foods?

The only one I can think of is Nature's Logic, but it has chicken as well.

Although I plan to keep him on his current food NB duck/pea for a full 6 weeks (or longer), just to be safe, I'd like to have a contengency plan. The vet said SD zd comes in rabbit, but I'd like to avoid the SD perscription diets if possible.

I can get EVO 95% mat cans in rabbit, but he didn't care much for it when I fed them a sample and that would be just as pricey as the SD perscription food.

Thanks for your help.

Are you talking canned only?

Nature's Logic has a rabbit that is only rabbit.

TY,
Getting him to eat much of a wet food is close to a miracle, so not sure if he'd like it. But thanks for posting the link... He didn't go wild for the EVO rabbit either... I have my fingers crossed that he won't react to what he's on now and I won't have to switch, but we'll see.

Umm...Usually just a "soft" place more than temp related. But if I had to choose, probably warm rather than cool.

Thanks for the link kiwi kat, if he's not allergic to fish it will be worth a try.

Misskiwi- is that a regular formula or a perscription? My vet only carries the SD perscription diets.

That is prescription I believe, but your vet should be able to order it for you... it might take some effort on their part, but it sounds like they need to expand their horizons anyway... or maybe they can call around and find another vet in your area that carries it.
