What did you do while TCS was down?

Looked at horse stuff on the internet.

I was cooking mom lunch, did my nails, surfed facebook. Actually it took me awhile to notice it was down. LoL I was so busy around the house.

I took a nap!

I was able to get into User CP by hitting the refresh button a zillion times. And then I was able make me a new siggy and save it.

By the time I seen it was down I didn't have to wait long for it to come back up. I almost had a heart attack though.

I worked nights last night, so I pretty much slept through it. I just caught the tail end of it. I hardly felt the sting at all!

I took Angel out for a little tour of our apartment building's lobby. Our kitties need to get used to going out because we have frequent false fire alarms. (Darn kids keep pulling the alarm!)

Lunch, read, popped in to comment on another forum, chatted with a couple of friends, and speculated/hoped the down time wasn't a result of a coup/hostile takeover as it was on reptile forum recently - lots of data base errors when that happened.

I fell to the floor and cried my heart out.

Then I went to the library.

I refreshed, refreshed, went to my email and tried to go into my instant messages thru there, yelled a bit, pouted a bit, refreshed then went to work. Now i am on break and it works I was freaking tho!

TCS was down?????????

I didn't even know it was down. I was too pissy with my work. I went to teach a class, right after my Gma and daughter got into a CAR ACCIDENT, to find out someone else was teaching it. Then I got mad, went and turn back in my manikans and reported her for teaching without the proper stuff... You can't teach 13 guys with 1 manikan. Thats just nasty. I didn't see any gloves, no alcahol, and worst of all, there wasn't any books. Just a couple copied off pages from the book. Yeah, not a way to teach a full class, so those people just spent 1100 dollars, which is twice what the Red Cross (me) charges, and they aren't even getting their certifications! HAHAHAHA that'll teach em... Can you tell Im having a bad day??

For those of you who remember....at least it wasn't like the great TCS downtime in 2004(think it was 2004, lol!!!)

2004 is right. Any time I see that "Database Error" page, that's what I think of. Thank God it's not often!

I actually managed to catch up on my emails, did a little chatting on Skype, and checked out competing cat sites (no comparison!). I also checked out our nephew's Internet history, and discovered that he's been a bad boy - he's harassed a site he considers "evil", by signing up under various names and email addresses, and then reporting the confirmation emails as spam! We're going to have words tomorrow. And he wonders why I insist on being the sole "administrator" on this computer! At least I didn't find any illegal downloads.

Ugh! Don't even mention that! That was horrible! I don't remember how long TCS was down, but it felt like months! Does anyone remember how long it was down for?

All of us who had joined in the prior 6 months had to re-register, all threads were lost...terrible!
