Hello

My cats seem to be obessed with me. They wanna be everywhere I am and constantly want to be sitting on my lap. I will go down to sit at my computer desk and one of my cats will be already sitting on it hoping i pick them up cuddle them put them on my lap while im on the computer

Anyone else got cats like that? They just never seem satisfied no matter how much attention I give them its never enough, even if im sleeping they will come and lay on my back lol

Do you always give whatever cat attention that wants it? Do you ever get tired and run away from them? lol

These are all ex street cats & rescues also

I can't imagine having more then 3 cats lol

My cats seem to know that I am there for them but they are so independent that I am the one asking for their attention...

My guy seems to be a bit of both. Some days he's all over me 24/7, and other days he just hangs out by himself. Today he is enjoying sitting in a cardboard box, as that is a favourite place for him to sit!

We have raised a very dependent kitten--was fun for a while, now not so much.

Bless his soul he's our baby but a little privacy occasionally....would be nice.

I have two that are like that...the other one is rather 'indifferent' about attention; she takes it or leaves it.

Brazil and Faith, however are always hanging around close to me; on the couch near where I am sitting, if not on my lap. Hanging out on the back of my rocking chair looking over my shoulder as I compute. Following me around the house as I do stuff. Whenever my kitties come onto my lap I will give them a good scritch; if I am busy, that's all I will give them then I will put them on my shoulder, and go back to what I was doing. Usually they are content to sit there and perch. Lol. Most of the time though they just come and settle right between my arms so I can still compute, or read, or what ever I am doing; it's safe to say 'we've got a system down' to a T...haha! I do what I am doing, and they sleep.

I now have 3 cats following closely wherever I go, if I sit down for a second I am covered in cats
Radar is not so much a lap cat, but he sits at my feet and taps at them continually, I love him to bits but this behaviour does sometimes drive me up the wall.

My three can be fast asleep on the sofa next to me, but the minute i get up to go upstairs to the bathroom or kitchen, they wake up and follow me until i sit back down again
I love it!

My cat is on my lap as I speak! Once, my mother was visiting the apartment I was staying in and she reported that as I went to throw the trash down the chute, my cat sat staring at the door, waiting for me to return.

I got the cat from a family whose cat had kittens. It was the runt and the last one to be given away, apparently because they liked it most. I'm not sure if it has something to do with being the runt or not, though it would coincide with your cats' stories, being rescues. Not getting enough love from mommy. :c

I see this alot with Myla. I had adopted her from the local shelter and i'm almost sure she was either feral or mistreated. She now has a home where this is nothing but love and attention. I'm assuming a cat like that is afraid of going back to that horrible life style so she will stay close to the person she knows who loves her.

Over the river and through the woods...
Most of my cats come for attention when they want it, but Gizmo is my demanding kitty. He was the runt of a rescued litter (we bottle fed them) we didn't think he was going to make it. I spent extra time with him while we were feeding to try to help him survive. Well, now that he's almost 2 he is SO annoying!

He follows me around everywhere. If I'm sitting on the couch, he sits right on the arm staring at me. If I ignore him, he will claw my face (not paw it...he uses claws to get my attention). He follows me into the kitchen and hops up on the counter to "help". If I go into the bathroom, he has to supervise.

Someone here suggested to me, when he gets that annoying, putting him down on the floor and ignoring him everytime he starts being demanding. Then after he's calmed down and doing his own thing, give him lovings. That has worked to a point with Gizmo and he isn't as annoying, but he is just a very needy cat.

Good luck!

My boy always wants to be around me and know where I am, but he's hit what I call the "rebellious teen stage"
He loves mom and always wants to be near her, but he sits a good distance away so as to try and not give that away. He stares at me all the time, and in a way is never satisfied- but in a more playful way. He wants to play with me 24/7. My boyfriend doesn't really play with him, so I am seen as the big constant playmate. He watches everything I do waiting for me to pull out some kind of trick or toy. Haha. He's not big into cuddles or pets right now, for some reason. He was huge on them when he was tiny, but now he's always skittering off.. And then coming back to lay near us, just out of arms reach but close enough to make sure we don't run off on him. He's an odd little guy.

It's just me and Maia and she definitely has to be included in everything I do! Even when shes sleeping, her ears follow my every move!

Many people would consider you very lucky to have such loving cats. I have one cat like that (also a street cat), while the cat that I have raised from a kitten is very aloof.

actually now that i think of it, I cant think of a any cat ive ever had during my lifetime that didnt have this strange obession with me? I guess thats the reason why I dont understand when people say "my cat isnt friendly" or my cat doesnt like to be pet. I have never experienced owning a cat like that. And all of my cats but one haf been normal street "moogies"

sometimes it would get hard because 2 cats will start fighting with each other for my attention, which is the biggest drawback I think

sometimes i would be petting one cat and another cat would come up and shove its head in the way blocking the other cat from being pet lol

yesterday i was sweeping down in the celler and all the cats were with me sniffing around watching what I was doing and trying to get involved lol
