I like Fleur, but I think she looks like a Madeline (which is French also).

Other French names that I think fit her:
Elise
Amelie
Daphne

I am thinking Gamine. Definition: An often homeless girl who roams about the streets; an urchin; a diminutive or very slender girl, esp. one who is pert, impudent, or playfully mischievous. This is a French word.

(pronounced Gah-meen).

She is slim and long-legged and was homeless ---

I also like Giselle, Camille, Esmee ( from old French 'loved one'), Fleurette (little flower), Isabel, Juliette, Nanette, Mirabella (incredible beauty), Musette ( a song), Aimee ( beloved friend), Brielle (Exalted Goddess), Brigitte, Claire, Collette, Etoile ( Star), Lunette ( little moon).........

this is so precious, she is standing on my foot, looking out the french doors!

I really can't take a good picture! these all look blurry! Addiebee, I'm really liking Gamine...."Gamine LeFleurs" ???/?? The definition of Gamine really suits
her! She is so funny with Spook, he is so big to her.....here he is

She growls at him, and if he gets close she take a swipe at him, without claws, then he tucks his head, and turns and walks away, well here she goes
right after him, growling and swiping, she isn't afraid, she is too funny, and he is a complete gentleman, he just takes it! She is in a way Bullying him!!
I'm in love!!!!!!!!! some friends came over last night and said, "she looks like marble!" call her "Marbles".....decisions, decisions!!???????
Thanks to all of you for all the wonderful names, and sweet comments!
I haven't decided yet.........so .............

Well, since you havne't decided yet, I'd just like to say she's a COMPLETE doll and Twiggy(that was you that suggested it, right?) actually seems suit her - she looks like a Twiggy.
Whatever the name, though, I'm sure it'll be good.

I know that she is a girl cat but she looks so much like my old roommate's cat that passed away. His name was Winston. You could call her Winnie.

That's what i used to call Winston when Dan wasn't home. HAHA.

Hey, whatever you name her, the most important thing is the love, baby!

BTW - people used to describe Audrey Hepburn as gamine.

Your lil baby is a classic gray tabby - How about Graycie?

Gracie was GiGi's real name, because she was gray, then I started the nicknaming thing and it went to Gracie Girl, then GG, or G, but I spelled it GiGi!

I wanted you to know, that my baby who I had named Tipsy and I could
not think of it everytime I looked at her! I would just stop and stare at her
and think, what did I name her? then GiGi would come out I suppose
whenever I lost GiGi, I wasn't through with her yet! so........I have
decided on Graycie, I spell it , Gracie. and to be honest, that was GiGi's
name, it was Gracie, then I started calling her Gracie Girl, and came GG or
GiGi, which I adored! Grace, is alot better for me, my dad says for me to name her GG. I might have too if GG keeps coming out!!!I just wasn't ready
to let go of her!
Monique
have a great day!

there is nothing wrong with calling her what comes to mind. When we got Pooka it was just after loosing Seraph. And I knew that I wasn't ready for another cat. But Pooka needed a home and it was winter and getting really cold--so home she came anyways. She is almost identical to Seraph. I call her that about half the time. I am so glad that DH insisted on us getting her though, because she is so loving, that she was the one who mended the hole that Seraph left. Maybe God just wanted to give you some more time with GiGi. I don't really believe in reincarnation--but Pooka is so much like Seraph that it makes me wonder. Maybe you just needed a kindred spirit of GiGi. Don't question it too much--just enjoy the precious little gift that you have been given!

Love ya!!
Michelle
