Hello! I'm new here. A friend on another forum referred me here, in hopes that someone here might be able to help me with a cat-related problem.

I have two cats, and recently moved to the UK. The cats are still in upstate NY, waiting for the mandatory 6-month waiting period to finish, before I can ship them to the UK. They've been staying with a friend in the meantime. Unfortunately, this friend can no longer keep them, and it'll be another 8 weeks before the waiting period is over. I've been looking for a cat boarding kennel to take them for the remaining time, but it's prohibitively expensive (I think they're meant more for short stays, say, a week or so).

Does anyone here have a suggestion on how I can find someone to house my two kitties for two months?

Try calling some rescue organizations, they might know of someone who can foster them for you. It's worth checking into. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies! I'm trying a list of boarding places provided by the SPCA, and also asking if anybody at the local vet hospital is willing to look after them. I miss my cats!

Do you have family and or a friend who might help you out?
I took a cat for an entire summer years ago.

Unfortunately, the only one I know in the area is the person with whom they are staying right now.
