Wishing I were anywhere but here
There are some old RPG games from the 80s that I really loved to play. I can download the files (they are in ZIP format) and unzip them with WINRAR or WINZIP, but need DOSbox to play them. They were played on DOS to begin with.

After I've unzipped the files and downloaded the dosbox my problem occurs when mounting the c: drive. I think this may have something to do with where the file is saved once it is unzipped. I would love to be able to play these old games, but do not know what I am doing wrong.

Anyone have any ideas?

Does the file path to any of the files have long file names (e.g. more than 8 characters, characters other than a-z, 0-9)? It may not be able to find the paths.

Actually underscores and tildes (~) should be fine (It's been awhile since I dealt with DOS). The things I'm looking at are like:

C:\\Program Files\\FreeImageConverter\\FreeImageConverter.exe
Notice the spaces and the file names that aren't in the 8.3 format for DOS.

If you open a command prompt and do a dir /x at each level, you can get the DOS name.

c:\\PROGRA~1\\FREEIM~1\\FREEIM~1.EXE
