Yesterday morning I had to say good-bye to Freya. It turns out the intestinal problems she was having was from lymphoma. Over a 48 hour period she went down hill fast and my vet and I decided it was time. She was about 14 years old and lived with me for 12 years.

I miss her so much! I can't type this without crying. She was my lap cat and my little shadow. She helped me in the garden (she supervised) and lay on the desk next to my monitor. If I read a book, she was in my lap. She was a talker, always commenting on something and we could carry on conversations. She loved to give kisses and thought my face was dirty and needed cleaning on a daily basis. I can't believe she's gone. Furrari looked for her yesterday and called and called. She was his buddy too.

In loving memory of Freya,

Freya (the little one) with Furrari

Freya was beautiful. I know it sounds a bit corny, but some people swear that if you take your other cat into your lap and explain what happened to Freya, he will understand. It can't hurt, and he could probably use the extra attention.

Be kind to yourself at this time as well.

Thank you. Furrari seems better today. He's eating well and not crying anymore. I have a 3rd cat, Elijah Blue-eyes, who doesn't seem concerned at all, but he and Feya weren't the best of friends. Both of them want more attention from me and are being a little clingy today. I think Furrari misses Freya and Elijah knows I'm upset.

Well that just stinks! Im so sorry!! I know how awful it can be to lose a member of the family!! I had to get BooBoo on anti anxiety meds after Glitch passed... he cried and cried! I showed him Glitch so that he knew he was gone though... I didn't with Tissy and to this day he still looks for her!

RIP Freya, Play happily over the bridge!!
