o.k. now that we've covered our own pet peeves...
man, I could think of a million things I do that make the people in my life crazy.

1. Cameron hates it when I turn the heat up full blast (which I do everyday & night) & then whine that I'm cold (and he's sweating through his clothes!)

2. I put myself down a lot, this really bothers him.

3. I'm meticulous about the cats diet, feeding them at certain times, making sure they have fresh water, etc. (he thinks i'm too rigid about it)

4. I never finish my drinks; coffee, tea, juice, etc. (though i think it may be more endearing now than annoying, because it never fails, unless it's red wine.) I'm a slow drinker, and coffee & tea always get cold before I can finish... so, it's not really my fault.

5. I bite my nails (he goes mad crazy about this saying things like, you're ingesting a little bit of your own nails when you do that, you're stomach is bleeding!!
)

6. When I say "just a minute" what I really mean is "I dare you to come TRY and drag me away from what I'm doing!" which is usually posting here, watching a movie, playing with the cats, or reading...

7. When I ask him to make me tea, and then forget about it and don't even drink it...

8. When I yell at him for not feeding the cats, even though it's a job I won't let him do (because he doesn't do it right... really, he doesn't.)

9. My sister is furious that I'm an intelligent, logical person who still smokes (and she has every right to be... so am I)

10. That because I am an incredibly organized and tidy person (but have a disability that generally prevents me from being tidy & organized) I expect Cameron to do the things I would do if I could (but he is not an organized OR tidy person, though he tries, he still doesn't do it the way I would) so we fight a lot about that

1. my temper.

2. the high expectations i have for myself and everyone else.

3. he thinks i spend more time with the cats and "the cat people" with him.

4. it drives my s/o nuts when i question my faith.

5. i'm sure it drives my friends nuts when i am in a chatterbox mood and babble endlessly about nothing.

6. drives my s/o nuts when i get into my "loner" moods and want to hang out by myself.

7. drives my s/o nuts when i am tight with money (hey - some one's gotta be, right?)

i'm sure i could list a bunch more, but i can't think of them off the top of my head.

I'm a very logical person, almost to a fault. I always tell hubby he needs to be consistent and logical too, which he hates.

I'm obsessive about crunching numbers and making sure that we will have enough money for everything. Sad thing is that all it takes is one trip to any store with Earl and I have to do it all over again. Drives him nuts, but then he is also always asking how much money we have. It's a no win for either of us.

Spending so much time here.

i have a lot of the same qualities as you guys - im very logical and realistic when it comes to serious things and it drives hubby mad.

he has issues from his mother and because he is so used to negativity around him, he cannot get used to me being positive.

when i am talking about something and i think of something and i have to say it before i forget, ill say it and then get back to the subject i was talking about before, it confuses him

i cannot think of anything else right now.

Hmmm ok. I'm sure I have a lot of these. Note, that some people who know me, do not like these traits, I however think they are important for me to have.

1.) When I worry, like excessivly, about big and little things, ALL the time (I suffer from GAD and SAD). Drives them nuts.

2.) I'm VERY stubborn and VERY proud. Makes me quiet bullheaded at times, and I could care less for the consiquences of my actions if I feel I'm in the right, specially if I AM in the right. I'm a big justice nut.

3.) I'm very pessimistic (I believe is the word) the cup is normally half empty to me. People get upset that I can't see the good in things to often, but then again that goes back to how I worry, it's a self defence thing, if your pessimistic you are arming yourself from a downfall, or thinking and prepairing yourself for the worst.

4.) When I turn VERY manic (I'm bipolar) it scares whoever happens to be around. I imagen it must be very uncomfortable for anyone to witness. But at least it does not happen often

5.) It drives my fiance nuts the way I'm so tight with money. And that I HAVE to get the best for your buck at all times. Heck I made a darn excel chart to pick out a new phone the other day, lol. (Think perfectionist).

6.) I have an OCD with germs/cleaning/organization. I litterally, go nuts and loose it if my living space is too messy, or if I feel it has become infested with a germ in some way. The dish's from supper have to be delt with immediatly, the smell of those germs in the sink and the site of it make me want to puke. So I ask him to take care of it. Really when I ask him to take care of anything 90% of the time he complains about me asking him to do it. So he hates that =p.

because i cannot stay interested in something long enough.

oh yea, and he HATES it when i tease him with a deadpan face and he doesnt know whether i am teasing him, he thinks i am serious. (i admit, it drives me nuts when i do that because he bites back!)

Me too! I mean - Gary hates it!

I also MUST sleep with a heavy blanket, and it HAS to cover my shoulders - even in the summer. Drives Gary nuts.

I do this too. For the hot drinks, though, ESPECIALLY when I've asked Gary to make it, I just heat it up in the microwave again, so it's not as much of a problem as it used to be...

Gary asks now - how long do you think you'll be? My answer is always wrong - (especially if I'm on TCS), and I can leave him waiting an hour or more... "Honey - you said it would be 15 minutes, and it's been AN HOUR!"

Yup. I'm almost too unemotional about a lot of things at times. Too logical, too practical.

I've been the same way with our money, too. And I'm constantly balancing the check-book and reminding him as to what the "REAL" balance in the account is - after the checks clear.

I do this too!!! It drives EVERYONE nuts!

I also frequently interrupt people to make my point before I forget it - or before they change the subject.

Now, with these, don't forget Gary and I are business partners. But

It drives Gary nuts when he's driving and I'm reading him a phone number - and when I'm done I shut the address book. Half the time he has to place the call again because he hit a number wrong or something - and I have to dig around to get the number again.

It drives Gary nuts when someone is giving him a phone number and he's repeating it out loud for me to write down - and I like to turn to the right page of the book so I can write it in the right place. So he's usually three or four numbers into it before I start writing. The funny thing is - I've always been able to remember those first numbers, so I don't get why it STILL drives him crazy. He always writes a number on the first piece of paper available, and most of the time we can never find it again!

Do these fall into the being anally organized area?

I'm sure there are more, but dinner's hot!

my god! that always happens with us, but the funny thing with him is he has an excellent memory for numbers and i don't even know why he wants me to write it down in the first place!!
but i always have to have my pen and find the right page, too.

something else that Deb brought to mind during a chat: over-analyzing.
it drives Cameron nuts. i analyze everything. constantly. i don't even realize i'm doing it either. my counsellor thinks i should work on it but what does she know?!

i also roll my eyes a lot when we're arguing. he hates that.

and i also just wait for him to stop talking during a fight so i can say what's on my mind, though i haven't heard a thing he's said because i was thinking of a response. he knows i'm not listening but i never admit it. i also interupt him in a fight to say something clever and biting
i'm awful!

i also can't admit i'm wrong, or apologize... it takes a lot for me to do that.

Movin' on up!
The only thing that bothers Bill is that I'm overly critical, of myself. HE thinks that I'm perfect! (I think that I'll just keep on letting him think that).

He gets upset, when I cry or get a migraine - he thinks that its always his fault.

I am a terrible procrastinator.
I am nice to a guy that treats me like crap at work, but only because I know he hates it. It really makes my s/o mad, and he works at the same place.

1. I'm working in biomedical research, partially on cancer, but I smoke.

2. When I really dislike someone, I get obsessed about everything they say and do. Right now, it's my evil cow-orker. Let's just say I've stopped talking about her because it's beginning to bug ME!

3. I'm not good at spontaneity. When friends make last minute plans for after work, I usually have a hard time agreeing.

4. Part of #3, I suffer from bouts of depression and during those times, I don't want to leave my apartment.

5. I am a horrible backseat driver. I'm always telling people that we need to turn soon, change lanes, etc.

I drive my parents, brother, and sister crazy with my singing. I sing anytime, anywhere. It's become such a habit that I don't even notice that I'm doing it anymore. For example, I'll be walking down the aisle in the grocery store and I'll wonder why people are looking at me. Then *BAM* I notice that instead of singing in my head, I'm singing aloud. I have a decent voice so it's not that my family is embarassed because I'm tone deaf or anything. People must think I'm a crazy person or something.
