It's the pound....they're probably overly full....and don't differentiate from purebred to moggie.
$10 for any shelter cat is cheap, the adoption fee is usually around $50-75. They must be really full! She's pretty.
There are a lot of Persian cats for adoption where I live (none pedigreed/papered of course but some are definitely all persian). If I wasn't moving in May, I'd be tempted to start a Persian rescue here.

She's very pretty. I wonder how old she is.
That IS Cheap! I don't care much for the squished faces but it is hard not to love anything as sweet as a kitty.
We just adopted a rescue kitten from a local shelter and it cost us $110, but included a bit of stuff such as 1 free vet visit (only includes the basics), neutered (saved 200-250), cardboard carrier (cheap but works), 1 month of pet insurance.. etc etc.
The good news, we got to adopt TWO kittens for the price of one.. LUCKY US! Twice the fun, twice the destruction and twice the love.

Oh Look how sad she is!! Someone close to there please adopt her! That is absolutely awfull, look at the size of her cage!! The poor thing! If she didn't live a thousand miles away from me....

Poor thing does look so sad in there! She doesn't understand where her home went
I imagine someone will pick her up quicky just by her breed alone and get her out of there....
