Anniversary on a Holiday?

Anyone in here besides DH and I have an anniversary on a holiday? Just curious as to how you picked the day.

We originally were gonna be married in May, but our kids kept bringing up the fact that we tell them about NOT living together before marriage, etc. so we moved it up.

I moved from Maryland to Minnesota at the beginning of December. So in January we decided to pick Valentines Day for our wedding as it would be easy to remember

After we got married I happened to notice that DH and my birthday also goes with V-day (14th) as ours is February 1 and 4....coincedence?

My parents were married 39 years ago this Valentines Day. They love that their anniversary is on Valentines Day.

I married my ex-husband on Halloween. He chose the date saying it would be easy for him to remember.

We did not get married on any holiday. I am sure that DH's mother would have liked us to have been married on April Fool's Day so that she could have woken up and realize it had just been a joke. Sorry.

sorry, but I love your MIL sarcasm behind that!

We didn't get married on a holiday but our anniversary is exactly 1 week before my b-day...so occassionally, DH will have a lapse about which is on what date, but as long as he shows up with prezzies, he's safe!

But my boss's anniversary is his birthday. As he put it so his wife knew he wouldn't forget

We got married on May 25th, which was Memorial Day weekend. It's not actually a holiday, per se, but it works out great that our anniversary is always right around a long weekend.
