Is it possible to get his past vet records???

My vet wants me to try to track down Spartakiss's past vet records to see what kind of tests they've already run, and what kind of medication he's been on. The only problem is, I don't know who used to own him or where they took him. The only thing I know is that his name was Spartakiss, and they took him to some clinic in the city(which could be any one of 30)
Is there any way I can find his records???

It's worth a shot trying. I'd be curious to see how it goes. I would love to see Matilda's past vet records just so that I could figure out when her actual birthday is. All I know about her is her old name and that she is declawed. I've pondered calling the vets in my town that do declawing to see if she was ever a patient there.

I don't think you'd be able to get the previous owner(s)' name(s) but I'm sure the vet would be willing to share the health info about the cat if you did track the right vet down.

Well I e-mailed the person who rescued him and gave him to me. I got his neuter information from where she took him, but she only had him for a month. I'm trying to see if she knows where the person who used to own him took him. Hopefully I'll hear back from her soon. Poor Spart's eyes are really sore.

Usually you need the person who paid the bill to sign off on releasing the information (at least here)

If you can at least find out what vet he came from, the vet clinic itself should be able to call and say "Hi this is ______ from _____ Veterinary clinic, and we are wondering if you could fax over Spartakiss's records." If they say they can only do that if the owner approves, your clinic should be able to have the cat's old clinic call the owner to get approval.
