haha
these are too funny and are hitting way too close to home.

Our kids sit around the room and watch with a bored look on their faces. Paige is the worst, she'll jump onto the bed and start purring and rubbing on us as if to say, "I want some lovin' too!"

You freaked me out when I first read, "Our KIDS sit around the room and watch..."
Then I got my senses back and understood what "kids" you were talking about

Reminds me of the Tostitos commercial. Here is the link: http://www.tostitos.com/promotions.php Click on the "Art Exhibit" commercial.

LOL! Glad we aren't the only ones that have a "kitty audience". Mine are funny. If they are already on the bed, most of the time they will just stay where they are. . . . lol, they used to run away, but now I think they have gotten used to all the commotion and they don't really care anymore. If they aren't already sleeping though, they like to watch. Nemo has his spot on the laundry in the corner of the room where he is a safe distance away, Mercury likes to get in my face. . . . sometimes he even plops down at the top of the bed right by me like "mommy, I want some attention too!!", Trinity gets on top of the dresser and stares and Bentley sits on the ground and often makes tiny little meowing sounds at me. . . . It's kind of wierd to look around the room and have four kitties staring at you but I have never even tried shutting them out because my foursome HATES closed doors, not to mention, Trinity has almost perfected the art of opening a closed door anyway so it probably wouldn't do much good.

At our house, the cats (all girls, btw
) who have, err, had kittens, leave us alone and usually vacate the bed, and check back later
. The one who was spayed at 6 months, she can be a bit...rude, let's say, lol. I've always thought that was funny- the "taking the hint"ers and the "clueless" one, lol.

When Buster was little, he used to try and crawl right between my boyfriend and I during... Well.. Whatever we were doing.
Or check out what was going on. Or even attack our feet. Hahaha. Funny little cat. Then as he started to mellow a bit more, he would always come and perch right near us and watch.. And we wouldn't notice until after.

Now he just finds a spot near us and sleeps while he's waiting for us to be done.

Well, so I'm not alone either in this situation, then! We we want some intimacy, we lock the two girls outside the bedroom, but then we see four little paws and two pink noses trying to squeeze under the door. There's meowings, hummings and scratchings for a few minutes, but they usually find something else to do when they see we won't let them in. At first we didn't lock them out, but they were waaay too curious for me and my BF and I to feel comfortable with them around! You know the deal, the cats sits right in front of where the action is with big question marks in their eyes, then they get closer and closer and you just see it in their eyes: they either want to touch, lick or attack! That's scary...and a real mood breaker!

Oh my lord! This is too funny!

Kitty can`t even let me sit next to someone on the sofa. He knows even if he`s fast asleep and gets up to park himself in between. It`s like living with a cheperaun(sp?), needless to say the bedroom door gets shut!

Wesley's Mom--what makes the call so bad is that he has a particular ringer for his parents and as soon as it starts the mood just turns awful. Also if we don't answer she hangs up and dials again!

Last time he called her back she said why didn't you answer? He said cuz we were having sex mom!--I thought she'd have a heartattack!

Both of our kitties hate it when we close the door on them for our alone time, lol! You're not the only one!

Yeah, if we don't pick up the answering machine picks up and there's nothing more of a mood killer then hearing your in-laws talking, ecspecially when they have probabaly already called about nothing a few times that day as well as EVERY single day!
