I think those are flying squirrels, not gliders, but gliders look the same way when they glider.

It's wonderful having them as pets, but I'm jealous of YOU because you get to see them in their natural environment.
Other then all the poop, lol, it must be amazing watching them glide from tree to tree! Min only get to glider from my hand to hubby's head, lol.

they'll have their very own room once we have a house.
hahahahahhaa! It totally is like rubbing it in your face

I hardly get to see them in their native habitat... I do get to clean their sticky pee off my veranda though
I hope they enjoyed their mealworms!

I can only begin to imagine their own room... that would be SO cool!!

I love the WFBs.
You're in IL, maybe in the future I'll have a little WFB baby.
After all, mom's a WFB and dad is a 2.5 gen WFB, so my odds of getting WFB babies are PRETTY high.
Of course, most of the babies will probably be mosaics or leus, which are probably a bit out of your price range, lol. I still can't figure out how I managed to talk myself into getting a mosaic.
I'm having to work my bum off day and night making ferret bedding just to I can have enough money to pay for him by the time he's 8 weeks old!

Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that she'll be getting a hubby next month?

Here's some pics of him:

http://www.toandfrogliders.com/FileH...ger/Tigger.htm

He's a WFB mosaic/50% leu het . He has white hands, a couple cute little white patches, 2 white rings on his tail, and the tip of his tail is white too!
He's costing me a pretty penny, but I know that he and Lalana will have some of the most beautiful babies in the whole wide world!

I just hope he isn't upset about having a girly "home", lol.

At least you get to clean the pee/poo off your porch, not your head/arm/clothes, lol.

They loved the extra mealies.

I have my own mealworm "farm", so there are always plenty of mealworms on hand.

hahaha
for some reason mealworms are really the only thing I don't have a problem with feeding live... it's so weird.. they just don't remind me of animals. I used to have to feed them to my axolotl.
=D cleaning poop and pee off clothes might not be the funnest thing I can think of

Same here. I don't think of them as living critters. Since I have to watch my gliders rip the heads off and suck out the guts, I think it's for the best that I don't think of them as animals, lol. Otherwise I'd probably lose whatever I recently ate!

The pee/poo is especially annoying when I am dumb enough to put on a nice clean shirt/sweater and then take the gliders out. Doh!
Talk about stupid! lol

ahahaha not stupid, just "trusting" hehehe
icky
see this is the only reason why im glad i cant keep them... i dont like the idea of being pooped and peed on. doesn't sit well with my obsessive cleaning disorders

OCD, eh? My hubby has that, lol.

After getting my 3rd ferret I learned to loosed up a bit. It's weird, gliders are SO smart and so curious and cute, but they can't be potty-trained. *sigh* Oh well, I guess it's a pretty good deterent for keeping some people from getting them as pets.

BTW, gliders may be tiny, but boy do they manage to hold in alot of pee!
Annie probably peed out her whole body weight onto my SIL's jacket the other day. I was amazed!
You've gotta give em credit.

HAHA oh I'd find it so funny if they did it on someone else.
ooo you have ferrets too... so jealous! every frickin state in australia except mine can have ferrets and rabbits... i've always wanted a ferret and a rabbit...
but for a 60000 and 30000 fine each, i don't think i'd risk it.

i'd love to move to the US or Canada in like 5 years when I finish my degrees and have enough money... but who knows... haha

I'm definately going to keep you posted. I'll make posts on this forum whenever I have updates.

Oh yeah, I got her yesterday! Here are some pics I took last night:

Also, she has a broken strip, it's so cute! I took a pic so you can see it:

See how there's a big gap on the back of her neck?

No worries, it's about time someone hijacked the thread, lol. I'm sure ya'll are getting sick of hearing about my gliders.

Your squirrel is SOOOOOOO cute!

That last pic looks like he's giving a "thumbs up". Haha.
