we have a 3 year old female ragdoll. When we found her around last thanksgiving we took her in. She is declawed(was when we found her)and fixed. We were thinking of getting her a friend. Any suggestions as far as should it be male/female and will we have a problem since she is declawed and the kitten wont be. Thanks for the info!

I don't think it'll matter whether the new one is declawed or not at all. Just make sure to introduce them to each other slowly... Maybe make sure that the little one has a lot of toys to play with so that it doesn't always bother the big cat.
If you're thinking about going to a rescue place, maybe you should think about an adult cat, as it might bother the cat you have now less...
Although, I'm planning on getting a kitten because my adult cat is the most playful animal on the planet, I think an adult cat would just get annoyed with him!

This is just my personal opinion too... do what you think is right!!
