well, currently am having to keep my Bengal Izzy in another room, as she can't go outside (kitten), & i never want her to go outside. however, i have two other kitty's who currently are going outside. i was wondering, how many have run's/cage's or shed's on here? which is the best? am hoping people from the UK, can offer me price range's & where to look? all advice on which of the three would be most suitable, is much appreciated aswel

am wanting it, so i can have a cat flap going out straight into it, so that the cat's can go out whenever they please. this way, i havn't got to keep Izzy in a separate room all the time, as it's not fair

Here is one I found on ebay:

It is US ebay, so you may want to check on EbayUK to see if they have anything available.

We are actually planning on builing our own eventually. Probably just using chicken wire (it's cheap) and wood to reinforce it. It won't be attached to the house though. If there was a door, our pug would just assume it is part of her territory also and make their lives miserable!

oh yeh, i noticed you had a doggy!
i was thinking about building one, mainly for cost as i don't get alot of income. the link you sent me, that would be good as a tunnel to the main cage. i want my girl's to have quite a big outside area, as i don't want them to never have any access to the outside world! it's something i want to do quite soon, it's just a cost thing grrr

How big of a cage do you want? Do you live near a rural area? If so, look into livestock stores and see what they charge for wire panels. The ones we use are, I think, 20 ft by 5ft, but they come in different sizes and different size openings in the wire. We have them for our yard (MUCH cheaper than an actual fence) and they are easy to put up. The hardest part is pounding in the stakes (especially if your land is rocky) but once the stakes are in you just wire the panels to them.

Of course, for the cats, you will need a roof....

Let me ask DH, and I'll get back with you, because that is the sort of thing he is planning on building, but I'm not sure about the roof.

Anyway, that is just an idea if you want to build one yourself. Also, if you want something smaller, check the adds in your newspaper to see if anyone is selling a large dog crate, or even put up an ad at your vet's office. It's worth a shot!

i was thinking 6ft by 9ft, maybe even bigger. then i'd have a tunnel running from the cat flap on the back door, to the cage. thanks for the help!

A lot of people over here use large aviaries for the main cage part, with a tunnel leading to the door/window of the house.

They add shelves, hammocks etc. to make different levels.
